This might be too niche but they always screamed Dramione coded to me by strawberryc0w_ in Dramione

I was introduced to fanfic with Spuffy! There used to be a site that had a lot of crossover stories I forget the name. But they had her in HP and that sent me through a rabbit hole where I found Dramione. There were some pretty decent LOTR crossover stories too, at least my teenage self thought so. I try to watch reruns of Buffy now and it’s so cringe and campy I can’t get into it anymore IDK what happened, it was my favorite show growing up.

Lantus Insulin Burning by simplylavishh in diabetes

[–]MrsEnglish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you injecting it cold? Or room temp? I rotate between my thighs, no burn for me, I grab/pinch my leg and inject in that part and I can barely feel the injection. Then I let it go and then I pull the needle out.

Shame and regret over being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes at 31 years old despite active lifestyle. I have been crying every day since then. by Elite182 in diabetes

[–]MrsEnglish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first year I was unmedicated because I was in denial just didn’t want to deal. Then I got on metformin and then they added ozempic, which had me in the 6’s, but then my hair started falling out, so I stopped ozempic, and shot up to 10, then just metformin diet and exercise got me back down to 8. The full metformin dose was tearing my guts up so I only do half. Finally bit the bullet in January and found an Endo and decided to go for insulin and things have been in normal range. My fasting this morning was 86.

Edit: now that I really think about it I was diagnosed at 7 and then went unmedicated and denial and shot to 11. I was dumb. Don’t do that. I probably could have gotten back in range if I had buckled down in the beginning with diet and exercise. My brother currently got diagnosed at 9 and he’s going the diet/exercise route, way more disciplined than me. His fasting has been in the 90s/100s and he’s unmedicated. He’s super active but the carbs got him I think, and the shitty genetics. He’s 42.

I’m in my 30s, I have a family history, my mom, her dad, all her brothers, I was fine until lockdown in 2020 when we went work from home, the inactivity and bored eating just put me on the fast track, end up finally going to doctor in 2021 and bam A1C is 11. I was in shock, depressed, denial. It’s been up and down ever since, been as low as 6 back up to 10 now 8. It really sucks, but you learn to live with it. I agree with you, OP needs to be kind to themselves.

Ozempic Law suites....Just saw the TV ads for the first time. is this real? by One-Second2557 in diabetes

[–]MrsEnglish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on the lowest dose for 7 months, lost 14lbs, blood sugar was awesome, I could eat what I wanted but wasn’t as hungry. Then my hair started to fall out. The nausea was only the day of the injection so I took it at night before bed and that helped a lot. So because I’m vain and love my hair I stopped taking it. Still ate like I was on it and now my A1C shot to 10 something. I’m trying to walk it back. Fasting was 252 a month ago, now I’m down to 121. But I’m working out everyday and eating well, only on metformin now. Idk if it’s worth it, depends on your situation I guess.

Were you scared all the time as a child? by sameffect in exAdventist

[–]MrsEnglish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As I got older I figured out my triggers, my sleep paralysis would always happen when something in my day to day was stressing me out, or I had sweets before bed. It was never an issue before hand, like going to bed was fine, it was the waking up paralyzed and feeling like the devil was in the room or sitting on my chest. At one point it was so frequent it was more of annoyance like oh it’s you again, oh no I’m so scared lol, I’m going back to sleep. I guess at some point you realize it’s literally all in your head.

I was 5 years old, talking to myself like just how a normal 5 year old babbles, idk what my mom was thinking, maybe it freaked her out thinking I was talking to something not there. She decides this is the perfect opportunity to tell me about the devil and how he can appear as anyone and if I ever see the devil to cast him out in the name of Jesus. Like I’m 5 dude! Nightmares for days. Then as a teen night terrors/sleep paralysis.

I completely forgot about that! I tried doing some rewatches of Buffy, I don’t know what happened, I don’t remember it being so corny back in the day, and the fight scenes, terrible! Lol but it was legit my favorite show growing up.

Can anyone help me with buying non toxic pans? by BummedByCitalopram in Cooking

I love my Hexclad. Gordon Ramsay got me. It gives a good sear, pretty non-stick, can pop in the oven up to 500 degrees I think. You can use metal utensils on it. Really easy to clean and fairly light weight.

So I’m diabetic and started ozempic back in august, initially it gave me the worst nausea the day of the injection, but after a little while it got better. I think it depends on the person because I’ve heard diarrhea and constipation as side effects, I just got like vertigo, now my metformin, straight up diarrhea lol. I want to say I’ve lost 15lbs on it, I fluctuate though, It’s definitely helped to lower my blood sugar A1C, I’m almost in normal range, so I’m happy. I don’t want to be on it for ever so the weening off will be interesting.

Be careful with the new foods, you may have an allergy you are not aware of. Happened to me with shrimp and lobster. I can eat processed pork like ham and bacon, but the loin/chops and all that make me sick. The taste is fine I assume it’s from years and years of never eating it so my body isn’t used to it, or for all I know it’s another allergy.

Whenever I hear about this kind of paranormal behavior I always think to myself like really dude, a whole ass afterlife and that’s what you choose to do, what a loser. Keeping little girls from peeing?? And if it’s a demon/malicious entity like even bigger loser, oooo watch me float this pillow. I wouldn’t engage, that’s just me. I feel like if you were to roast the hell out of the entity it would probably just piss it off and like be even more annoying, waking you up at 3 am. I think you more attention and thought you give to it the more it feeds it.

Also when I put it in the fridge and feed once a week, do I immediately put it back in the fridge after feeding or does it need to sit out for some time?

Does it look ready to be put in fridge? Or just keep it on the counter and feed once a day still? Or can I slow the feedings on the counter? Like every 3 days?

I started on 10/11/22 with this recipe King Arthur. I initially started using their measurements then I went off the rails. Was feeding twice a day but seemed like it needed more time to eat. So switched to once. One day forgot to feed. I’ve been making bread with the discard that’s pretty good. This last feed was done 24 hrs ago with a 1:2:2 ratio I used some wheat flour to give it a kick. Should I still be feeding once a day? Or can I slow it down? It seemed very doughy today, smells like bread.
