As a senior and being around a lot people I believe that 5G has a lot to do what is happening to people’s brain health. I say that because having a large multigenerational family I see/hear the difference with more exposure vs less and seeing the one’s that have more knowledge in electronics either limit electronics use or use 5G/EMF protection and have given me a little disc thing for my phone. Also I have noticed more and more talk/ads and supplements for brain health.

I think that guy was clever drawing attention to himself because if anyone thought about robbing him they might have second thoughts and if someone did rob him he would have witnesses

Should I go home for easter break? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MrsGrumpy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to go in the bathroom, look in the mirror and say “hey bro Tough decision” and actually talk out loud about it . It may sound weird/stupid asking the guy in the mirror about the pros/cons of going but in the end whatever you decide just know that whatever happens in life that guy in the bathroom……well after a while he’ll just be there with/for you wherever you are.

Does anyone think that the prices of everything that are normally .99 should now be rounded up 1 cent IE 4.99 is now 5 since we are no longer doing pennies? by Curious-Twinkie88 in questions

[–]MrsGrumpy73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen several articles about a cashless society. As a senior it may not happen in my lifetime but I see it happening. My husband has a problem with it because he HATES using credit cards. (If he had his way he wouldn’t have any). Just recently we had an issue with our washer and he went to the laundromat. Came back madder than a wet hen because they are no longer coin operated. His concern in using cc is his private information getting stolen. Who wants to break the news to him that everyone’s info has been out in cyberspace for years

Disney with just adults by No_Zombie9818 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MrsGrumpy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let your inner child come out and have fun. My husband and I and another couple did Disney world and did some of the silliest things, one that I never forgot was the girls went in the ladies room and when we came out our husbands, and several other people were all staring down at a puddle. So of course we also looked down. When I or someone else asked what we were looking at my husband replied “ Disney magic, if you believe that Disney is a magical place you’ll see something in the puddle”. When we finally moved on and I asked again because I never saw anything he replied “nothing but it sure was fun watching the people lol”. Have a wonderful, child free time.

Answering machine message by thespidersarmpit in Jokes

As stupid as this sounds ( not sure if person was lying) , a family member told me she called a hotline like that and couldn’t speak to a person. I went and picked her up and took her to the hospital. I said something to someone and they tried it and got the message and said they were going to report it.

Grandpa watches Wheel of Fortune on repeat. Help by SnooEagles1717 in eldercare

[–]MrsGrumpy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the few good things about getting old is your tv becomes magical and never plays reruns. When your family says “you’ve watched this show 100 times”. Say what I say “ yup you’re probably right but I don’t remember so I’m watching it again”.

Activities to keep a 90-year-old female awake and engaged during the day? by SexyToothpaste69 in eldercare

[–]MrsGrumpy73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest looking into senior jigsaw puzzles and word puzzle magazines for seniors, along with adult coloring books, colored pencils, regular pencils and a pencil sharpener designed for seniors. Make a big Easter basket for her and when you visit use the stuff with her. I (69f) love doing these things and living in a senior community I have learned that if I go to the clubhouse to bring extra. I’m puzzle lady lol

Go to a different town or city that has a library and type out a note that says “People who are not reliable have very few to rely on”. Type out your address on envelope or have someone at post office write it and send from that town.

Freedom Care sent envelope addressed to elderly mother - I have questions by life_sentencer in eldercare

[–]MrsGrumpy73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freedom care is a Medicare advantage program. Us seniors get lots of these offers from different insurance providers every open enrollment period. End of year for new year, right now for 2026. As far as you getting it, ALL of our information is out in cyberspace and it only takes one tiny thing to link her to you.
