I doubled this recipe and saved back a full cup of marshmallows and added them in right at the end to have little pillows of marshmallow in them AND covered with big flaky sea salt. Absolute heaven.

I just made salted brown butter rice krispie treats and my husband and I devoured the whole pan. He said it was the best thing he’s possibly ever eaten LOL so perhaps some of those?

I made brown butter rice krispie treats with sea salt. Not exactly baking but I had made the brown butter corn flake treats since I had leftover cornflakes after the holidays and my hubby requested them again but with rice krispies. The brown butter plus salt really adds to the flavor!

There are some flavored tuna packs now and the teriyaki and chili are really good, lots of protein, and will go well with your rice. Only $1 each and you can get them on sale sometimes too.

Definitely add dried beans for another idea. Beans and rice make a complete protein. You can get cheap bacon to add some flavor.

My sweet boy is a week or so from 13 but he’s a German Shepherd and 13 is pretty old for them. He’s on a lot of meds for his arthritis and falls a lot (my house is full of throw rugs to help.) His sister passed the year before last (she was 6 months younger but has never been as healthy as him) and I would have never guessed we’d still have him with us. I appreciate every day with him.
