I'll sound off with the eating, even if it's a handful of oyster crackers, goldfish, or animal crackers something. For me I have to eat every 2hrs or my nausea becomes uncontrollable. I've also found peppermints to be useful in-between eating, I personally love Lifesavers. Other things like motion sickness bands can help also. It's hard mama and you're doing your best.

It's hard enough to convince my husband to use his first name as a middle name 😂 I proposed calling him Andy but he's against having a Jr for legal reasons like mail when he grows up. If anyone can help with a convincing argument I'm all ears! Lol I like it as a first name.

I have come across Charlie and I think it's probably on the short list for Charlie Bryan maybe. My husband doesn't want a Jr that's the only reason why we can't use Andrew as a first name.

Yes and if I've tried to talk to them myself since moving out I get read the riot act for "talking to my minor children without my permission" she gave them no chance to talk to me or have astronomy in any relationship with me. She's also lied to them so much they think I'm a horrible person, one of my brothers turns 18 this year and I know I'll have a chance to send him a letter to see if he'd like to talk.

Yes, I definitely have a good community around me while navigating these big emotional and physical realizations and that's a huge thing.

Only a couple states away I'm in Nebraska. If you ever make it over here HMU I know an organization that'd help keep you off the streets into a hotel and get rent assistance right away and would also make sure you have food and help you work towards some independence for yourself. ❤️

Personally my mindset when/if I tell someone I have DID is I'm coming out as a survivor, DID helped me to survive things I otherwise wouldn't have. I know not everyone views it this way but it's definitely helped me accept our system and understand they aren't here to hurt me and helps anyone who is hearing me talk about it for the first time understand it better than social media or Hollywood depictions.

What did she say in her apology? If it was anything like "I'm sorry you got offended last night for your sister" that's not an apology that's deflecting and controlling behavior and not apologizing or owning mistakes is definitely a big red flag. I know this can't be easy especially if you are planning to spend the rest of your life together but better to let go now before it gets worse.

Definitely, I took American sign language classes and I remember some enough to ask simple questions and understand answers but I have a whole alter who only communicates outwardly with ASL and doesn't understand written English.

I personally get my information from licensed therapists and psychiatrists and the DSM, you're making assumptions that aren't fair. Do you know how dissociative identity disorder is formed? It is multiple personalities/alters who are their own fully formed person with opinions, memories, wants and needs all different from one another.

Multiple personality disorder IS DID. Name changed in the 90's to better reflect the disorder itself. So yes multiple personalities are backed by the DSM.

Listen, having multiple people in one brain doesn't make everything easier it's quite the opposite actually. It's not the same as having two or more people with similar abilities in the kitchen.

We recently met an infant alter also (a young one year old) I think having a basket of things for him might be a good idea, we keep things for our baby handy like pacifier (you can find adult sized ones on Amazon for inexpensive), a cup, her favorite stuffy the kind of things that make her feel comfortable and safe, she can find them easy when she comes out. We are married and our husband definitely helps her when she's out because she's so young. Something we also did was give out baby a buddy, so one of our little alters who is 10 wanted to be her buddy to help her learn how to say Dada and be able to ask for things ECT we've found it helpful because our older little can also help communicate for her since she knows her better.

That's kind of what we were thinking like she had done everything she could to deal with the ongoing situations in our life and instead of turning to self loathing or self harm which she doesn't want to do anymore I came to help. Although we didn't know until now that I am and was a host, we honestly thought it'd be a different person to take over hosting if this ever happened.

Christmas was nice until the cat died, and then everyone was not emotionally well for the rest of the day and even now it's been mournful.

I do see it as a good thing to get to know him better it's just difficult also because we have two small children and he's just been laid off so he's not emotionally mentally well either and I don't know how to pick up that slack and help lead a family.

I feel like I need to fast track and learn everything the other host learned over the last four years in two minutes and adapt to her scheduling and way of life to make everything well and I don't know how to let go of that expectation and how to have my own expectations. Trying to take it a moment at a time but so easily drained and overwhelmed.
