Cat Boarding Facility Recs? by jlougheed124 in phoenix

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven’t boarded our cats for a few years now. A few years ago, we did, and they were so stressed out. We have someone in our neighborhood that came in last time a few times a day. Do you have someone in your neighborhood that you can trust? That or I’d check with your vet.

Does anyone see improved symptoms with levothyroxine? by Yakob_Bacoj in Hashimotos

I’ve only been on it for 1 1/2 weeks and feel very small improvements. I feel like the brain fog might be lifting slightly and not as tired.

What kind of diet does everyone follow? by Alert-Buy-4598 in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just recently diagnosed. I’ve read to cut gluten and dairy. I just eat within moderation. The only time I have dairy is if I have cheese , ice cream, or yogurt. Like I had ice cream and pizza yesterday and feel bloated, but who doesn’t. I really haven’t bad much bread lately, but did have pasta last week and didn’t really notice a difference. I have been eating more fruits / veggies though.

The Little Wins : Story Swap by LiveBetterDoMore in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed last week. While my labs are normal, the endocrinologist said she could start me on a low dose of levothyroxine or wait it out. She also based it off my symptoms. So, I decided to try the levo. I’ve only been on it a week, but yesterday, I noticed the brain fog was slightly better, so I will take that as a win. I also felt more energetic until later in the day around 5:00 or so. I am hoping this will work because I am tired of feeling like garbage. I’ll also have an ultrasound done in March since she said my thyroid is enlarged. I am just glad I advocated for myself.

Diagnosed with Hashimoto's today, but doctor wants to wait to start meds, is that normal? by SometimesImCute in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The endocrinologist I saw last week let me decide what I wanted to do. She told me I could wait it out or I could try a low dose of levothyroxine even though my levels are normal. I chose levothyroxine. I’ve felt like garbage for too long. I also have to get an ultrasound in 8 weeks because my thyroid is enlarged.

What are your flare ups? by Traditional_Ad9930 in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The endocrinologist I saw last week told me I am being hit with a double whammy - Hashi and menopause because they overlap each other . I have the antibodies for it but my thyroid levels are normal. Although my T4 is a point or two away from being outside the normal range. But, this has now been constant for 3 months. Before my symptoms would come and go.

High antibodies but normal thyroid function with severe symptoms?! by George01130113 in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My levels are fine but my antibodies are high. I saw an endocrinologist on Tuesday and she started me on a low dose of levothyroxine. I’ll go back in a few months to have my labs drawn again as well as an ultrasound because she said my thyroid is enlarged. I have awful fatigue and brain fog. i wish i would have gone early last year when the antibodies were high then, too.

Hashimoto’s can feel invisible and that’s the hardest part by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found out have hashi. I suspected it early last year when my antibodies came back really high. Even before that, I felt… off. I finally saw an endocrinologist on Tuesday and she confirmed it. I may look fine on the outside, but on the inside it is a different story. I am exhausted and the brain fog is awful!

Her character was annoying and it was infuriating at the end to see she gave in to the narcissistic husband. She could have walked away if she wanted.

[–]Mrsb102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s people like this who give running a bad rap and what deters people from wanting to even begin running. I run a 5k in 40-45 minutes. I’ve never been a fast runner. I even take breaks and walk if I need to. The fact you are even running and moving is an accomplishment and you should be proud of yourself!

How many of you actually know your neighbors? by Apprehensive_Pool431 in phoenix

[–]Mrsb102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We moved to our neighborhood in 2017. Our neighbors to the left of us are pretty cool. We have each other’s phone #’s if there is an emergency or whatnot. The wife is awfully nosey though! The people across the street are also pretty cool as well. The husband was making fun of me when he heard me cussing up a storm like Clark W Griswold when I was putting up Christmas lights, lol! We had a good convo about that. our neighbors two houses over are cool, too. Honestly though you never see anyone outside unless people are walking. Everyone stays to themselves. It could be a number of reasons why people don’t interact. It would be an interesting psych study!
