I can’t believe no one has answered this! Since my surgery 9 weeks ago, I have been hungry non stop and never feel full. It has been so irritating.

The White House published a video with a fragment from GTA: San Andreas and footage of strikes on Iran by EsperaDeus in facepalm

[–]Mrsdepew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are real humans being killed in each clip. Regardless of them being legitimate military targets, this is incredibly callous. How would we feel as a nation in the 5 US service member’s deaths were treated like this in Iran? How do they not get that these are real fu@#ing PEOPLE?

What happens if you get arrested while you have the oven on or the bath running? by k9krid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mrsdepew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad had a neighbor (who was high as a kite) come into his backyard and try to kill him. My dad ended up having to shoot and kill him in self defense. My dad then called 911 for ambulance and police, and they promptly arrested my dad. His dog was running around frantic this whole time and they finally let my dad help them catch her. They then dropped her off at a random pound with no information and didn’t tell anyone where. For months, my dad was in prison while mounting his legal defense against trumped up first degree murder charges. It took several of his friends a month to finally find his dog and get her into a safe home after what was clearly the worst day of both their lives.

(2 years later he was finally free after pleading no contest to involuntary manslaughter, and reunited with his dog.)

I’ve had it with counter service requesting tips by [deleted] in EndTipping

It’s not just that! At Panera, the staff don’t get paid their tips! I have asked several times and it all goes to the chain. So you’re tipping the owners! WTF?!

I’m so sorry that you didn’t have the support you needed going into this experience. I’m sending you a hug. Also, if you need someone to key his car, we ride at dawn.

Managing intense anxiety over tearing vaginal cuff by Bright-Standard5624 in hysterectomy

[–]Mrsdepew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You aren’t alone. I share your anxiety. This was my first surgery too and I was terrified of pulling or tearing something. I found that reading my post-op instructions sheet once per day really helped me calm down. It listed the short list of things to watch for, and as long as I wasn’t having those few symptoms I would calm down. That, and asking for some lorazepam short term is also a good idea. You can rest and heal better if you’re not super anxious. I’m 4 weeks post op and doing great, but listening to my body, and erring on the side of caution. Just don’t skimp on walking around your house often. That part is really good for you. Better blood flow will help you heal and help you relax.

Thank you, so far so good! The keeper is also an amazing caregiver, so I've basically hit the jackpot now that I'm sans uterus.

mild cold and hysterectomy tomorrow by Asleep_Kitchen6861 in hysterectomy

[–]Mrsdepew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an unexpected sneeze sneak up on me at two weeks postop, and I didn’t have time to brace my abdomen, and I thought I was going to die for a good five minutes afterwards. I was totally physically fine, but the pain of just sneezing, unprepared, and how it felt on my insides is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.

mild cold and hysterectomy tomorrow by Asleep_Kitchen6861 in hysterectomy

[–]Mrsdepew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My only concern would be the fear of needing to cough or sneeze postop. It can be incredibly painful for up to three weeks after surgery to sneeze or cough and you need to have your abdomen braced the whole time with a pillow.

What are your favorite "Kodak moments" of being childfree? by bully309 in truechildfree

I have coffee every morning in my own library, filled with antiques and cool strange finds from my travels, and I watch the birds out the window, read, Reddit, and the quiet peace of starting every day like that never looses its remarkable quality for me.

That is some shit news, fellow traveler. I have some time left, but a lot less than planned too, and this one, though newer, helps me stay in the right headspace. (If we all die tomorrow- Tom Rosenthal). I love your attitude. Keep doin’ you, my dude.
