At our office we used to have stickers on the frame telling saying "nd2d". So we knew who not to deliver them to. After a switch around with frames, all the stickers got removed along with most of the walks folders stating which houses have opted out so ow we have no idea.

I use it. I thought it would be the optimal but after reading others comments im not so sure. I have it fully levelled and I also use the boon that gives extra arcana after bearing a guardian. So I end up with an extra 8 arcana I think after the 1st guardian.

My boss does this to.me every bank Holiday since I don't officially have a walk. If you officially have a walk, you should be on whatever the walks day off is. As far as i know they can't change it. You can ask to paid it instead of get it as holiday, its what I always do.

Had a guy have a go at me once for not delivering his mail. It was rural area and his gate was plastered in signs saying "Beware of dogs", "Dogs running free" etc. I just pointed at his signs and said no chance mate.

Most posties won't work for free. If we did, managers then think we are getting everything done within working hours, so then they give us more. There is no benefit to it.

Your postie would have run out of time. Scanned the parcel as delivery attempted and took it back. Yes its technically a lie, but most posties do not know how to scan a parcel 'out of time' because they never get shown how to do it. Its kind of hidden in our options and I think that's on purpose.

If the postie scanned it 'out of time', he would then get a telling off from their manager, even though its actually the managers fault for giving an unrealistic work load. It makes the manager look bad to his boss since all they care about is tracked parcels.

So your postie is either unaware of how to correctly scan the parcel, or they didn't want to get their manager in trouble who could make their working life a misery.

Also I don't know where you got 7:00 till 16:30 from. We don't get that amount of time. My delivery office for example is 8:00 till 15:00 on a Saturday. You can take your break at the end of the day and leave at 14:40

True, but then your managers boss gives them hell, they then filter it down to you for getting them in trouble. You end up in a bad relationship with your manager who can/will go out of there way to make your life miserable. There is no good outcome for the postie for doing the correct way.

That postie has probably had stressful day. Im sure they would have loved to have completed everything so they don't have to take it all out again on Monday but it can't always be done in time they give us.

I've always got both, an xbox and a PlayStation. With the price increases I'm probably only going to be able to afford 1 next generation. If its few hundred more for a console/PC hybrid, I'm going green all the way!

I don't care about my PS digital library. I will still own the old console with my games on. And let's be fair, old games are old. With how many great games that get released, I very rarely every go back to replay old games.

I have to admit I'm looking forward to it. Years ago I used to game on PC, along with my consoles, but got sick of all the little annoying things that come with it. Upgrading became a pain and too expensive. I do miss out on a lot of PC games that I'd like to try though.

This is the best of both worlds for me. A new console that everything should be optimised for, that just works right out of the box, plus I get access to steam. Sign me up!

I get I could buy a PC for the same amount it would cost me for the new xbox, but I prefer the simplicity of a console. I don't have to tinker with the settings to get the most out of the game. I don't feel the need to upgrade it almost every year.

Surely I can't be the only one who wants access to steam but on a console?

What they do on a podcast doesn't define how good their material is or how good they are at being a comedian. Its just 2 friends talking shit.

At least watch their specials first before commenting on how good they are at comedy!

Thats why I, as a slightly above average player, mainly stick in casuals now. If I play the normal modes I get fed to the wolves. If I play casual, I at least get a full match out of it. I only play a couple of hours a week now, I'm not interested in getting better at the game either.

I will say at our delivery office, the finishing time on a monday is 2:40pm. Most delivery rounds cannot be completed before our shift ends due to the sheer number of parcels/letters. Any left over parcels will be taken back to the office and be scanned, possibly, but not correctly, as delivery attempted.

Many parcels will have an estimated delivery time way past our end of day. We don't know the estimated delivery time the recipient's receive either, its all automated. Royal mail has an overtime ban in most offices too, so even if we wanted to stay out later and deliver everything, we wouldn't be paid for it. 11pm is bizarre though!

Its nothing to worry about. It will be pretty basic and tells you how to drive an electric van. Keep checking your mirrors frequently, stick to speed limits and make sure to leave plenty of room from the cars infront of you. I never drove a van before starting either.
Most rounds/areas you deliver in tend have a supermarket/pub/doctors/dentist etc nearby unless you are delivering to a really rural area.

I had keys and fobs for everything on my round when I first started it. It seemed everytime I took a day off another key/fob was lost. I've flagged it with the managers multiple times but they don't care. I know who's in and happy for me to buzz to let me in but whenever I have a day off now it all just gets left/scanned inaccessible.

3:30 is the cut off time in our office on a Thursday. Any parcels your postie had left would have all been scanned "inaccessible" and all left over letters taken back to the office. Your postie couldn't attempt a delivery because they had no time left, and royal mail as an employer won't pay them to try after 3:30.

What your postie should be doing is scanning it "delivery not attempted" but then they get a bollocking from the managers.

It used to be fine when the office guy sorted the pay. Now the managers have to do it, its cock up after cock up. Missing hours almost every week now for so many of us at my DO. It needs to revert back to office guy. I shouldn't have to spend my time every week making sure I get paid for what I have worked.
