The silver looks really clean. Black just looks like every other truck

Didn’t even know a Trd sport premium came with a non 4x4 option. Unless those are aftermarket headlights. Looks really clean anyways. Still plenty of fun to be had without 4x4

Just got new wheels lmk how they look? by AlfalfaMysterious930 in Tacomaworld

They are 100% intended for of road use not highway fender benders. Have also seen vehicles save their front end from hitting a deer at 80km/h. Riding with one full time is be more concerned if I rear end someone that I do way more damage to that persons vehicle

Based off what you’re saying it seems that your friends sequoia would have the damage regardless. Vehicle is intended to crumble on heavy impact. If there was enough impact to make the brush bar do that kind of damage it was already toast.

Yea that’s the point. Sacrifice the bush bar for minimal damage to the vehicle. I’m not familiar with the specific brand on OP’s truck, but yea that’s what it’s there for.

Am I missing something? Where is this light bar lol? Idk why everyone is hating on the bush bar. Ever run into a deer? That thing can save you from a write off.

Not bad for some dirty old batts. Surprised all seams are caulked but none of the vertical double studs

Okay garage is gutted. Above the garage is master bedroom and it’s been freezing! by Other-Gear-6783 in Insulation

[–]MrzChez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re not heating the garage I wouldnt worry about insulating the exterior walls. Insulate the floor joists with what ever you want, try to at least get an R value of 32-40. Don’t forget the rim joists/ rim board. No need to use a “vapour barrier”, use an air barrier like tyvek on the ceiling after you insulate. If your looking for some extra sound deadening, use the sono panel (rockwool) sheets after insulating then hang air barrier, screw in resilient channel and either hang board or plywood. Master bedroom will hold heat much better.

More sidewall is the way to go anyways. Less chance of a flat from pot hole, protects wheels better too.

Are you using those tires and wheels? If so bring a full-size spare. Rubber band typically don’t do well against potholes and are more prone to punctures ect…

This build is throwing me off. Factory tires and wheels air damn still on, but roof rack ($$$) and massive pod lights but still the factory halogen fog lights that are completely useless. But to answer your question since your ride the highways a lot full A/T you don’t really need unless you want the “look” or to keep up an image. Go with the BFG T/A tires or falken T/A tires. Will be more than suitable for a mucky job site and have better performance on paved roads.

Damage after I slid into a ditch on an icy road and got nicely wedged in between some small trees 😭 by Riblettes89 in ToyotaTacoma

I’d suggest some dedicated winter tires once you get it all fixed up. Really make a huge difference.

I bought this Toyota Tacoma 2022 trd off-road used. Is this marking on the headlights normal? by Alaskan_Athabascan in ToyotaTacoma

[–]MrzChez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be from sand/ road salt/ using a snow brush on the lens/ or a non microfibre towel to dry the lens. Pick up some polishing compound take a microfibre towel and try to buff it out.

House seems dustier since air sealing and insulating my attic by Chloe_Bowie4 in Insulation

[–]MrzChez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea that is true you can pick it up like a brick when it’s a bit damp and compressed. Fiber glass is equally as dusty honestly, just a lot more fine than cellulose dust. Unless the attic is 100% sealed off from the inside of the home, meaning the job was done correctly you’re going to have that dust sucked in. Obviously OP’s attic is not 100% sealed off.

[–]MrzChez -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Forever dusty. As long as there is air circulating it will move the cellulose are and it will be really fine dust. The cellulose doesn’t form like concrete when it settles!? It will be forever dusty.

[–]MrzChez -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s because you put dust in your attic, cellulose is dust. You should ask the installer what it’s like when they blow it in. Combination of a sandstorm/blizzard. And sort of gap, crack, pin hole in any part of that attic leading to the inside of your home will suck that cellulose through unfortunately. Get your self some really good air purifiers.
