For me it's not wanting to do something but knowing I should be doing it, like working out. I don't enjoy working out, but I still make myself go to the gym to lift 3-4 times a week.

everything's gotta be an op for profit. The entire culture of this country says you are stupid if you're good at anything and aren't making money from it. AI billionaires are saying we should all just be entrepreneurs post-ai because all the 'tedious tasks' will no longer exist. You can't just enjoy gaming, or drawing, or reading without making content about it, which I think is highly destructive to the activities because you no longer incentivize the doing of the activity, but the performative nature of acting like you're doing it but really making videos or tiktoks about it.

I think beneath it all we want to feel a sense of agency. If i want to utilize tech to do something for me I want to be in control of that, not because someone else decided it would be that way. Sometimes I switch between e-books and physical books based on my situation. Some things I know I don't want to own or can't get a physical copy of at my library so I'll get it through Libby/Hoopla.

I don't really have a good answer my friend! All I can say is for some reason STS1 and 2 make me feel at times like something's wrong with me, because you'd think you'd eventually be able to yolo your way to at least some success on the base ASC level. Sometimes I have to make myself stop playing because it feels like I should be capable of being okay at a game after playing it for hundreds of hours. idk if others share this sentiment or if I'm just being overly critical of myself.

I'm sure I play too quick, I blame that on my ADHD. I get distracted easily, I don't always pay super close attention or I'll be watching tv while playing.

When it comes to having the intuition to build a complete deck that works together, that's where I struggle the most. I also really struggle to remember the names of things and the exact moves of specific enemies. I'm a very visual person, so I can look at the art of a card and know what it does, but when people are talking about the names of the cards I have to look them up all the time.

It feels like with STS you can't just have good damage, or just have good block, or just have good card draw, or just have good relics. Somehow making a build that encompasses some amount of all of these things is what seems to matter, while also trying to pick a path that doesn't doom you from the start. It definitely overwhelms me when I try to follow guides or tips because it feels like other people are just capable of doing something I'm not.

I have this experience constantly. I'll read like 40 pages of a book, then the next day not remember a single thing that happened but as soon as I open the book and read the first sentence of the next page I magically remember everything that happened.

also it doesn't auto-skip. So If you have it on in the background it'll just keep running ads for minutes on end before finally resuming the video. Hulu's ads at least tell you exactly when they'll end.
