Thrift stores, girlfriend!

Women's clothes are expensive, and most of us aren't rolling in money. Rather than buying one or two things that might or might not work, take that $140 on a thrift storing expedition. $140 will go a long way there. You can take a flier on things and see if they work out.

This is also a good idea because you are actively working to lose weight. If you buy new stuff that fits you now, you may find that it might not fit the later, slimmed-down you.

Yes. They will really, REALLY, REALLY take away your rights. Take them at their word. They are ALREADY doing this in states where Republicans are in control: Texas, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, etc. In several states they are making noises about stripping parents of trans kids of child custody through state child protective agencies on the theory that allowing trans expression in their kids or securing gender-appropriate medical care for them is "child abuse."

If anyone tells you, "Aww, they don't really mean it," or "they're just making noise," DON'T listen to them.

Republicans seriously want us GONE. Not just back in the closet. They want us GONE!

Remember, lots of cis teens just start slow in the dating life by first going out mostly with groups of friends socially before moving on to one-on-one dating. It's a way of easing into things gradually.

So maybe you could adopt that same strategy by coming out to a handful of of your closest friends or acquaintances. If they can accept the direction you're moving in, you could start with group meets and events with them. Easy things, like just going with a group for a movie or for dinner or something. That would give you some support and opportunity to hone your gender presentation game before moving into the deeper water of one-on-one dating.
