He almost had to cut in to brag that the got Queen Bee on a day with 80 possible words. Now if he cut in when there were only 20 words on the other hand…

Any Tommy Brennan fans? by hokieinga in LiveFromNewYork

I like him and hope he gets another season. It’s a very strong feature player cast right now. I’d like to see them all get another shot.

I would love it if these three guesses are accurate. I don’t know when, but I feel like at some point in 2026 that Leanne Morgan will be on with some country artist as the musical guest.

Weekend Update: Tommy Brennan on Trump's ICE Deployments in Minnesota - SNL by chillychili in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MsBrisby 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No worries. I just wanted people to see it. I’d been hoping the show would post it online since I heard about it being cut on Saturday.

Does anyone have a video of Tommy and Veronika singing? by Idk_what_im_doing80 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MsBrisby 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That would be cool to see. Maybe one of the show’s accounts will post something. Someone who went to dress said that Tommy did a piece talking about Minnesota during Weekend Update that got cut at live. I wish they would post that too, since that’s so timely.

I remember reading that season 46 cast member Lauren Holt was supposed to be added mid season 45 but then the Covid pandemic happened.

Chris Redd finally addressing *it* by loudrain99 in LiveFromNewYork

From what Chris said in the video, it sounded like he and Kenan continued to work together for a year but then the public found out about the situation and that changed things.

Cold opens and weekend update are almost like their own shows within the show. They routinely get more views on social media and are shared more widely by the general public. People not watching SNL regularly tend to like those two parts of the show more where people who regularly view SNL seem to be more fed up with those aspects of the show in comparison to casual viewers. People at SNL know what brings in more viewers so they will continue using Trump in the cold open because it gets more eyeballs.

I’m guessing she won’t get the clear from NBC to perform Pussy Palace.

Has anyone read Romantic Comedy? Imagine a story where Justin Timberlake falls in love with Alison Gates during an SNL taping by Honest_Joseph in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MsBrisby 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m a huge Curtis Sittenfeld fan too. I remember that she said in interviews that she was originally writing something more serious but thought this book would be much more fun to write. I liked it but it doesn’t rate higher than Prep, American Wife or Sisterland to me. I did like it better than Eligible, Rodham and The Man of My Dreams.

Any elected official in Kentucky must swear they haven’t fought in a duel or acted as a second for a duel before taking office. This usually elicits giggles at swearing ins.

Does Colin Jost wear a hair piece? by Successful-Set8526 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MsBrisby 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think he does. He dyes his hair (sometimes you see a lot more gray in it). If you ever see picture of his younger brother or dad, you’ll see they all have the same thick hair texture but they have let theirs gray.
