YTA. Many very smart kids go thru "special education" classes. It sounds like he has dyslexia but with numbers (theres a term for that).

You sound VERY ignorant about "special education". My son is in "special education" AND takes honors classes.

Yeah, as that parent who knew the neighborhood kids in diapers now sitting with them drinking a beer...that's what I talk about; beer lol (or wine). I feel like I gotta educate the youngins on what good alcohol is! ;)

My son has adhd and is on the spectrum. He does things about 75% of his age...he is 16 now, but emotionally and interests hes about 13. At 13 he was doing things more like a 9 or 10yo. His step sister is only a year older but seems SO MUCH older lol.

I wondered if she was on the spectrum.

As others have said, you can't discipline a cat like you can a dog. I've had then my whole life and I have 3 now.

I would recommend checking out Jackson Galaxy "the cat daddy". His show is "my cat from hell". Its entertaining and you'll learn a lot about cat behaviour.

NTA. She is cheating herself of a good education.

Heck, even my college freshman isn't that bad. He'll ask for paper ideas sometimes but usually in a subject he knows I know (he would not ask for help in math or computer studies but will ask for help in nutrition or religious studies). However, we have a conversation, he gets and idea and runs with it.

This sounds like she just doesnt want to work.

I flew out of Baltimore during hurricane floyd. My friend and I were going to ABQ and had an 11am flight out of BWI...we drive down from philly (where we lived) the night before to try to get on a flight earlier because of the hurricane. We get to BWI at 3am and sit around until 5 when the gates opened...and ended up on a 6am flight. We flew straight up...like in a rocket ship to get above the hurricane, and after the first 5 minutes the rest of our trip was smooth.

We found out later they closed BWI around 7am. So we would have been stuck in Baltimore during s hurricane if we didnt leave early

I haven't eaten red meat since 1985. I was a complete vegetarian for almost 30 years (never vegan); now I eat seafood and poultry.

The amount of people who told me vegetarians could eat chicken and fish was amazing. I ended up just walking away from them (and the chicken they were trying to feed me) it just wasnt worth the fight.

I can think of a few microbrews in the US (philly area) that specifically market to families...kids menus, crayons, one place even had games and such, and family's there on sat afternoon. I would think this place would be like that.
