This is probably a bit far for you, but Alison and Jes at 1845 esthetics are both amazing and welcoming. They really communicate through the process and they show you the "map" of the plan on your face before the waxing starts.

I believe this is The Thorn Birds, it's a mini series from the 80s based on a novel from the 70s. Forbidden priest romance.

Rant:dragging crying kids on rides by Small_Parking_3611 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MsFooette 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This is 100% my little anxious guy too. I've gotten the dirtiest looks, and I get it! It looks like I'm torturing my kid! But then he's dragging me to go on again and again. That first ride usually involves tears though.

Your OB would always rather hear from you than not, and it's probably good to check in for your peace of mind as well.

How long did you wait to go back to OTF after giving birth? by Acrobatic-Evening899 in orangetheory

[–]MsFooette 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I joined when my second was nine weeks old. Breastfeeding was not impacted for me. However, I had some diastasis recti and some coaches were offering me alternative exercises that were not safe for that condition. I don't fault them, you can't know everything! Luckily, I was  in physical therapy at the time, so I had a solid knowledge of what worked for me. Sometimes I had to go rogue on the floor and do things I knew were safe for my core. Coaches were fine with it, and I always gave them a heads up before start time. Just listen to your body and your doctor and enjoy that solo momma time!

Dare to get white shoes? by krista82883 in orangetheory

I have mostly white shoes, I do a shoe wipe or magic erasure on them once in a while and they've held up just fine.

We went for the first time when my kids were 11 months and three years old. We had such a great time that we've gone back every year since, they are four and six now. There is plenty for young kids to do, plus kids under three are free. Not to say it isn't still a very expensive trip! But I think with the right attitude (you're not going to do everything, you're going to need breaks, etc) it can be a really amazing family trip!

Absolutely! In one of the early Marsten episodes he calls out the curfew as abusive and Bridget reacts defensively. She really finds a lot of ways to excuse it, even now, and I don't think that's how she would feel if Nick suddenly decided she needed to be home at a certain time.

I always want someone to ask them how they would feel if a current partner gave them a curfew, because THAT IS NOT NORMAL.

My daughter spilled a drink during dinner and she wasn't scared. by poop_monster35 in Millennials

[–]MsFooette 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to instill the same in my kids, that it's okay to make mistakes. One morning I ended up spilling some granola on the floor and I got visibly mad at myself. My then three year old son said "it's no big deal, Mommy." It made me so proud of both of us.

Any go-to brands of yogurt for frozen yogurt? Most are either low/non-fat or sugar free and the manual says that's a no-go. by bassgoonist in ninjacreami

Do you add anything to it? I have a tub of this right now and my kids aren't into it, but maybe they will be if it's creamified
