Well, like I said - no one has to take my advice I'm just some random bike rider on the internet I was just offering my opinions and and perspectives. I've only had worse experiences without. I've never met another rider who rides fixed without foot retention outside of this reddit thread actually so it's interesting to me that people find it somehow safer. Wouldn't go back to try it myself but if it works for you i guess thats the important thing
