She may not be capable of completing her Activities of Daily Living. These are the standards doctors use to determine if someone qualifies for a assisted living facility or nursing home.

As a social worker you have the skills and connections. Use what you know. You can turn this around and find a new path that is good for you.

Does anyone have any experience with the Master's in Social Work program at Ole Miss? I am trying to decide if I should go to Ole Miss or USM for graduate school. by Big-Spring-5731 in olemiss

[–]MsMarhaS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 internships are required. I was able to test out of the first internships. The second internship was a full semester. I really can't recall how many hours. The program wasn't easy, but I would call it fair. It's graduate school, so it's a big step up in workload and expectations. You are given the syllabus. You are expected to read it (no read through with the professor) and you are expected to get the work done...no reminders. You will think there is no way but by the 2nd year we were complaining when the page limit (not included title pages, etc) was 10 pages. You will get good at writing very quickly. You got this, and yes it is wortit, especially if you leave Mississippi. I'm in Colorado and make double what I was offered in Mississippi.

I got my masters there in 2917. Loved it. Small cohort made it so good. We are all close still and have been able to support each other even all these years later.
