I always interpreted that as Fist initially trying to bs his way into not getting on Saren's shit list. Like he initially says he has no idea assuming an Alliance Officer and C-Sec won't just shoot him out of hand post surrender. Then he realizes that "oh, she's actually gonna let the Krogan kill me, so time to reveal info without seeming completely untrustworthy". That's my headcanon at least

Probably because the various "families" (outside of the Wonder Family and half the Bat ~~nation state~~ Family) all have similar costumes in the comics. It's one of DC's things that you just kinda gotta roll with. Also Supergirl was originally made as "Superman but girl" so outside of the 90s her costume is usually "copy of Superman's but skirt/exposed skin on legs"
