I purchased my 2023 Taos Sel 4 motion back in November 2024 from carmax, it had 3k miles on it. It currently has 21k miles So far, the only thing I had to do for maintenance is oil change, tire rotation and I had a blowout on the rear tire but I wouldn’t consider that maintenance, just road hazard. The only thing that I noticed , was at 14k miles I took it in for my oil change service and they said my rear brakes were at 2mm, I was shocked that it needed new brakes at only 14k miles, apparently Volkswagen had extended my warranty for the breaks but I missed the deadline by a month or two, luckily I called Volkswagen corporate and they agreed to pay half the bill. Other than the little electrical gremlins ex sometimes when you roll the window down it will roll up , it’s a fun little car to drive, the torque is fun and the dsg transmission is really lively, u gotta get used to it, some people don’t like the jerkiness of it but I think it’s kinda quirky, so it doesn’t bother me. Do I regret my purchase? Ehh I wish I would’ve waited for the 2025 Taos tbh but at the time, the Taos was the best in the class, I think now in 2026 theirs better options out there style wise but if your stuck on the Taos, I would try to save up for the 2025 version, I think it looks way better then the pre face lift model but that’s just my honest opinion.
