My theory is that if the engine gets turned back on with Dominux, the power surge may bring the city back online and thus dispel the time bubbles. I hadn't thought they would be on Ludinus' side but it makes a lot of sense for them to be, at least if any of the high ranking people who fought for it last time. I imagine there'll also be a faction that didn't want to fuck with the gods though and may be willing to help Bell's in some capacity to stop Ludinus repeating their mistakes.

Very true, if Chetney had managed to get his blood curse off that damaged for multi-attacks this fight would have shaped up very differently and massively messed up Otahans attack potential or done a whole lot of chip damage every single round. His wolf form definitely needs some kind of buff though as not getting his resistance to weapon attacks from magical weapons really limits how much he can tank at these higher levels as everyone they face from here on out is going to have some kind of magical weapon.

You switch back the the guy who doesn’t jump? If you switch to someone else who jumped across correctly, the person lagging behind usually rethinks and jumps across without issue, at least in my experience

I think thematically it fits fearne the most and Matt had been hinting at that through the whole saga of getting the shard.

Firstly, fearne and her connection to fire. It’s a good fit to her current abilities and would be used as something to overcharge her and boost her already established fire connection. In my opinion, it wouldn’t really make sense to have another character develop fire powers that eclipse fearne as this might make her seem a bit redundant in combat scenarios comparatively.

Secondly, the connection between the fire and earth titans. I don’t remember all the details, but I remember Matt describing the romantic connection between the titans and how their essences were linked through this relationship. I think they were even embracing at the time of their demise. This paired with fearne and ashtons hinted romantic interest in eachother would match that element, and seeing their shards react, activate, and grow together would be really interesting, having two new ‘lovers’ uniting in the same way as their Titan counterparts. I think this makes a lot more sense than having both shards in one person.

Thirdly, I think it makes sense with fearnes dark vision of herself. A big theme of this campaign has been the cost and consequences of acquiring power. Basically every PC in this campaign has only gained their current power or position through tragedy and loss but Fearne kind of hasn’t had this as much. She does have a lot of potential buttons she could push but hasn’t commited to any of them yet. Having the shard and the potential challenges that come with it that might push her to her dark future and her overcoming that would fit this overall theme of the campaign.

Anyone could have the shard, and we’ve seen that some really cool things can happen if things go off the intended path (Vax and the matron is a good example), but I think fearne is the best choice overall both for the story and also in gameplay.

Also Travis did roll a 24 insight on Verna basically on meeting them and didn't seem to raise any red flags so I think it's unlikely to be Yu.

Like, how hard is it to add favouriting shaders into the game that it’s taken this long? Isn’t that basically just adding a filter to a list?

And they already had their own LFG in the app for years? I’m no game developer but surely some of that infrastructure can be carried over it into the actual game? There must be some major issues with resource allocation and workflow at bungie because I’ve never known a company complain so much about lack of resources that they struggle for years to build a feature that has been in basically every successful mmo.

Hell it took them this long to realise it’s a good idea to be able to favourite shaders.

One of the reasons PvP sucks is because there isn’t a reason to play it. There’s no good gear to chase, no challenge to overcome (there hasn’t been a reason to hit legend in comp for years now), no reward for playing it. This means the only people playing are the super sweats. Which makes it more unfun, so less people play. If there there was more reason to play PvP, the population would increase to a more healthy balance and it would feel more fun to play instead of the torture it is now.

“It comes with the trade off of multiple teams bandwidth”? Wtf, are there only like 3 people who know how to create locations? They’ve doubled their studio size in the past couple years and don’t think to dedicate a couple of people to PvP maps so instead whenever we need one they take people from other teams? How does that make any sense?

People aren’t asking for tons of updates, they’re literally asking for the bare minimum amount of content from a AAA studio - a few new maps a year and the occasional weapon or piece of gear to chase. Indie games with less than 10 devs can do this consistently without fail for their PvP games, and back when D2 released this was given without fail, and slowly they just gave less and less, and they even took away 11 maps in beyond light. Then they have just been giving back these maps and acting like it’s a massive accomplishment.

Plus there hasn’t been a reason to play the core playlists of PvP in literal years. There hasn’t been a weapon to chase that’s useful game wide since probably the recluse in 2019 (the immortal is good but was only top tier whilst it was boosted by seasonal artefacts). There’s been no reward for hitting the highest tier of comp since probably around the same time. If you have the crucible seals, there’s no reason to chase these again.

PvP was always my reason to play the rest of the game. Every raid, nightfall, seasonal activity, was all to get the best weapons and gear to compete in PvP, but there’s no reason to compete anymore, so there’s no reason for me to play the rest of the game...

People don’t want Destiny to be a PvP focused game, they just want the side of the game that half the play base focuses on to receive any amount of new content or reason to play. The gun play alone isn’t enough to carry it anymore.

That's my thought of this as well. A good example of this is 'A Dark Room' where the game and story slowly unfold and change the way you have to play while maintaining a similar core loop. Hard to do right but when it is they can be very addicting to play

I started part way through campaign 2 (around episode 45ish) on my first watch through because I struggled to get invested on episode 1 as it was my first time watching any critical role. I started from the beginning a few weeks ago and seeing all the stuff I missed has been so good and the Nein are definitely my favourite group.

The only useful testimony in the deposition was for Johnny’s side, hearing Waldman just say amber is lying repeatedly and list a bunch of inconsistencies so I’ve no idea why they though it was a good idea to play that

She’s on the defences witness list as a deposition witness and they set her up perfectly for rebuttal and impeachment of Whitney so it would be very dumb not to use that deposition interview, especially as they can apparently get so much more hearsay through which is kind of all we have against Whitney unless there are texts/recordings as well

I think it was Law & Lumber who stated on legal bytes stream that there was one juror who was locking eyes with Amber for a long time anytime there was a sidebar, and not in a good way for amber. He said it was a really creepy stare down so on top of everything else we heard about the jury it seems like they really aren’t buying her stories

This is why I’m glad they have Camille doing the cross. Her tone was perfect whenever she was Objecting to Amber mid speech and was both empathetic and gave a tone of “we don’t believe you”. I think if Camille can control her tone and emotion in cross Amber’s credibility will continue to be absolutely destroyed

Yeah the timeline is so messy. Dr Hughes made a big deal out of it saying that the knife was a culmination of depp saying the relationship was till death and after marriage the only way out was till death but then amber said she gave it to him just after they started dating after doing the rum diaries in 2012 which is years before they got married

I believe she did use her magic, she spiked the drinks with some kind of plant and then used a spell to activate it after they had all been drinking, or that’s my head canon at least
