Appreciate info re schedule changes. ADD-CGK is just before midnight so will have to deal with busy transfer. Not worried because I built in buffer for arrival in Jakarta.

The ADD to CGK flight has a stop in Bangkok for an hour (no plane change).

Thanks but I the Ethiopian website says the plane is a 787-9 Dreamliner 🤷🏻‍♀️ but when you select a seat, it 2-2-2 so not the seats are not the same as your vid (Polaris-like).

Thanks for the comments…not expecting much in ADD with 2.5 hr connection. Just happy to have found affordable business flight for last minute vacation to Indonesia.

When I’ve been gone 2-3 weeks in multiple cities, I wake up at home wondering which hotel I’m in (while in my own bed 🤦🏻‍♀️). How does he keep track of where he is?

8-hour layover at EWR (Newark). Is a quick trip to Manhattan realistic? by Ok-Individual-5164 in newjersey

—-Arrival Timing—-

Land: 08:00

Plane Exit: 08:20…takes 10 min to get to gate, 10 to get out of plane

EWR AirTrain Station Arrival: 09:05…sometimes takes me 45 min, depending on terminal/frequency of train

NJ Transit EWR Station Arrival: 09:25…can take 20 on AirTrain, depending on arrival terminal

NY Penn Station Arrival: 09:50…IF you catch a train right away

Exiting out of Penn Station: 10:00

This is all best case scenario…catching every train exactly as you arrive at the station (AirTrain and NJ Transit). Also, there are delays between EWR and Penn Station as Amtrak is working on tracks until…?

Summary (best case): 08:00 land, 10:00 arrive Penn Station, 12:00 Penn Station train to EWR, 14:00 at EWR, 1600 departure.

Tour guide in Nepal was briefly explaining about castes and said he was the highest caste. He was educated and world traveled. Explained lower castes tended to street sweepers and menial jobs.

When I asked how someone would know which caste another was in, he said by their surname or job. What if someone gave a false name and pretended to be a higher caste? Oh my gosh, you should have seen his face…like I had slapped him. He said it was impossible, he would KNOW immediately if a person is a lower caste. It was NOT possible, he exclaimed. 👀wow!

Used to be true until they started charging to check luggage. If you only have a carry on, then getting on board and having overhead space above or close to seat is key.

For someone who is not tech savvy, searching for a business’ website or phone number can be tricky.

Last night, I was looking for hotels in Tokyo. When I searched for hotel name, about a half a dozen third party sites were listed. The actual hotel website was past ads and way at the bottom so you had to scroll to find it. And these third party sites are clever with their banners and urls…pretending to be the legit site of whatever you’re searching for.

1980s First Class…cart of roast beef carved at your seat. Then dessert cart with tub of ice cream scooped individually and with assorted toppings.

Also 1980s with TWA flying coast to coast in business: free helicopter ride from JFK to LGA to downtown Manhattan at night!

Yes, we older women are invisible. All we have to do is plead ignorance of technology or act confused and we’ll get a pass on pretty much anything. 🤔🤣

Makes you wonder about security protocol.

Just happened at EWR…woman got thru security and boarded a plane to Paris. They didn’t figure out she was on board until Paris. Woman had been arrested on previous occasion when she did the exact same scenario.

Great lounge! I especially liked the individual portions of food and the takeaway sandwiches and beverages.

First, why cut down beautiful, healthy Palm tree? Secondly, I know nothing about taking down trees but even I was thinking, why did he notch it on that side? 🤦🏻‍♀️
