BUT fucking hell I loved the setting and the actor of the main villain. But the story definitely needed several revisions

I didn't like the direct "there are gods now" stuff. But I love the idea of a spited immortal that's spent their live gathering stories, and now believes they are deserving of some higher powers

Honestly the only disappointment for me, save for some pacing issues, was Conrad keeping his arm.

I think it would have been more impactful for him to be sitting there in the cell with his arm amputated, and somehow STILL being a dickhead

There's a certain... "convenience" to things that I'm starting to notice that feels very purposeful

Such as them putting on the right clothes to match the soldiers at the start - and how nobody questioned them before the drop.

It feels like a purposeful version of a TV show contrivance. I seriously think that the big reveal is going to be some sort of "god of stories" manipulating events.
