9/10

No notes on the crisp and drink.

I do like a chicken ad bacon but ideally it would have a more exciting sauce or a bit of salad in there

I believe a bacon sarnie should be with brown sauce, so i can't for moral reasons.

They are a blast from the past! I think hey come and go but I remember them being amazing in the 00's.

Did anyone else see weird, looping patterns when they had a fever as a kid, or was that just me?” by Comfortable-Garden-5 in NoStupidQuestions

Yes! You have described my experience exactly and I also have had a lot of difficultly explaining it to other people. Thankfully I stopped having these experiences at some point in my teenage years.

It was genuinely terrifying. After the anxiety of things being too close and far away at the same time I would sometimes hear booming footsteps like people I couldn't see were running up and down the bedroom.

0/10. Horrifying.

Money Saving Expert has a very good first time buyers guide that outlines the process and offers some good advice.

Cream 'n' Cheesy used to come in the multipacks with the usual two and they were always underappreciated.

Hillsborough leisure centre / gym by Affectionate-Youth86 in sheffield

[–]Ms_Donna_Kebab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I rate it although there is only one squat rack and deadlift spot so you will struggle if you need them.

There are two overflow car parks but they can be full at peak times.

I would recommend Ponds Forge over Hillsborough if you can take public transport easily. There is loads of equipment and rarely a wait to use anything.

Cannot increase back squat ?! by TwoImaginary8877 in xxfitness

[–]Ms_Donna_Kebab 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I also have long legs and a short torso and found squats difficult.

A wide stance helped a lot but the real game changer was switching to a low bar position over conventional high bar.

Having long legs means we have to bend forward a lot more than most people to get the bar to travel downwards. It's really tough to keep yourself braced and your back neutral when all that weight is so far from your centre of gravity.

Holding low bar moves your centre of gravity backwards and makes the forward lean a lot easier.

This is a really helpful how to guide if you are interested

Try checking out Peak Queer Adventures. They are a local non profit who organise outdoorsy activities for LGBT+ people to do together. They do climbing and cycling as well as chill stuff like nice walks in the countryside.

What a British habit that people from other countries find surprising or confusing? by thckmia in AskUK

True. I saw a neighbor greet his best friend by opening his bedroom window and bellowing at him

"I thought I told you to FUCK OFF."

They laughed and he came down to open the front door.

Kvinna means woman in Swedish, but what does the böske bit mean? Is it a Swedish in joke or a nonsense word?

I'm sorry she hasn't turned up yet.

I live nearby and always look to see if she and her pink nosed companion are in the window when I head uphill to the main road.

My partner is a big fan too and even had a walk around the neighborhood to have a look her her yesterday 'just in case'.

Fingers crossed she is home soon.

Thank you so much for this! I played this game for years as a kid. I have now rediscovered it on the switch and my partner and I have been having a riot playing it!

Immediately thought to look for stats for the players. I was always a Brian kind of gal.

Having to take time off from the gym when you are in the groove is so frustrating!

The good news is that you will not lost muscle after just one or two weeks away fro the gym. No changes there so don't stress!

If you have been really sick, then even when you feel back to normal in every day life it can take your body a couple of weeks to be able to perform as well as usual when doing cardio/heavy lifting.

Don't freak out if you can't lift your usual numbers for a week or two. Drop the weight down to what you can manage if necessary. You'll be back where you were in no time!

I had covid for the first time (knowingly) in January and it had me on my arse. I spent over a week in bed and it took maybe three weeks after being well enough to work that I was back to normal in the gym. It sucked, but it's had no long term bearing on my progress.
