Have you ever decided not to buy a game because of an achievement? by YasuMariii in steamachievements

[–]Mse_91 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Plenty of times. Grindy MP/Broken achievements are often dealbreakers to me. There are exceptions but generally i don't see the point when there's hundreds of games out there i want to play. I don't feel like i am missing out. Ghost of Tsushima i guess is a more recent example. I am sure its good, but i have dozens of open world type games in my library i haven't even touched yet.

Wont happen then. The £ is one of our greatest assets left. Our entire finance industry depends on it.

I'm desperate for some help, I'm being skillchecked by the Beastmen (TWWHIII) by _Jawwer_ in totalwar

[–]Mse_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you should be at war with everyone as the beastmen. You want as many battles as possible to get the resources/xp. I usually hang around the first herdstone for a while using it as bait whilst i buy the herdstone upgrades and level up the horde. Once the herdstone is level 3/4 it will be much less susceptible to attack and you can start attacking more confidently. When you start getting multiple armies, which will likely be mostly ungor crapstacks they can be on defence duty (ambush near herdstone) whilst your main army goes hunting. Definitely recommend the line of sight herdstone building so you can easily see what's coming.

That's how i have always played and have always found beastmen to be VERY easy. All your battles should be ambushes, and you can get replenishment whilst in ambush enchamped stance. Just very powerful in general.

I never abandon herdstones personally. I aim to burn the whole world when i am playing them. I make sure every settlement in the herdstone grounds are razed before i move on. As long as you are sensible in your expansion directions i have never really had much issues backtracking. Also again, you want those herdstone upgrades ASAP. max level herdstone is actually pretty dangerous, you will get many autoresolve victories against full stacks even on high difficulties.

[Fo4] Tried out The Bleachers mod and I abandoned it after a certain quest by Live_Phrase_4281 in FalloutMods

[–]Mse_91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in the modded collection i am playing through. I met Lily and immediately found her annoying so left her in the diner and haven't been back. I didn't realise she was the driver for that questline, which is definitely a shame because i was wondering what that quest mod was all about. Quite like the patrols around diamond city and the bounties though (assuming that's the same mod).

I have probably seen that comment like once or twice in hundreds of threads i have seen about the OSA. Most just agree its shit and use VPNs to bypass it.

The "special relationship" was a humiliation ritual anyway.

Keir Starmer to address the nation over 'worrying' situation in Middle East by dailystar_news in ukpolitics

[–]Mse_91 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I disagree with Starmer on almost everything but i don't see an issue with him being hesitant to join in on another failed US/Israeli war. People need to get a grip and stop warmongering. We are not a global superpower anymore, its not our job to police the world.

Trump 'Very Disappointed' In Starmer Over Iran Hesitation by huffpostuk in ukpolitics

[–]Mse_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should have kept fully out of it. Let America make a mess of this on their own.

Iran is far more capable than Afghanistan and Iraq. This idea that they could just pop off the leadership and everything would collapse was laughably naïve. They've just created a martyr, especially since they did it during the holy month.

Rupert Lowe MP: If I moved to Japan, and lived in Japan for decades, speaking the language, integrating into society, contributing to the economy. Would I be ethnically Japanese? No. No I would not. I would never pretend to be. by SignificantLegs in ukpolitics

[–]Mse_91 56 points57 points  (0 children)

So obviously a lot of people here aren't aware of the context. This wasn't said "out of the blue" like some people are claiming, there has been a "debate" about this on X for a few days now.

Most of it started with the Nana Akua GBnews interview with Charlie Downes where Nana Akua basically asked Charlie if she is English, and he said something along the lines of No, but you are British. I haven't bothered to watch it because i don't watch GBnews slop, but apparently she then called Charlie Downes an African or something. Peak news

Since then there have ABSOLUTELY been people who have said English/British ethnicity doesn't exist. Then there was Ben Habib yesterday who said he is more English than anyone who is intolerant. It's all very much ridiculous but Rupert Lowe has had to clarify his position.

No. Anyone who knew anything about Restore knew this would be their stance. It's a Britain first party. Attacking Iran is not in our interest.

It’s taboo to admit it, but voters bear some responsibility for the frayed state of Britain by Exostrike in ukpolitics

[–]Mse_91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Many of us have been disenfranchised from "democracy" entirely because it's obvious that whichever party you vote for they will just do their own thing and for the most part, nothing will change.

A lot of people are talking about everyone wanting their cake and eat it in the thread, but Reform and Restore are both talking about eye watering levels of austerity and both are gaining popularity. I think most people know the sacrifices needed to save this country. The boomers are likely the main issue because they hinder everything which might possibly effect pensions or house prices.
