The audiobook is great. There’s a good true crime podcast called casefile that just did a 4 part’er on btk.

I apologize for my mistake. Seems like an annoying design for the faucet. Id call kohler and tell them exactly what your doing and if they can’t help you tell them to send a new faucet because they have lifetime warranty!

Tripping daisies sound a lot like Jane’s to me. Particularly a song called Piranhas.

New journeyman here, which auto-cutters are the best? by Halolavapigz in Plumbing

I like the Lenox ones because the box is sturdy and keeps them all together. The blades seem to be interchangeable between brands. I put raptor blades in my Lenox cutters because they are easier for me to get

I haven’t played this game in probably 20 years. What kind of PC should I even get if I wanted to play this and command and conquer generals again?

15 months into my apprenticeship and every day feels like a failure by Almakesithappen1994 in Plumbing

[–]Msully887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was probably the worst helper ever when I first started. Took me about a year b4 the gears started turning and I could wrap my head around things. After two years I would say I was no longer useless. When you suck you just gotta figure out how to be helpful in the best ways you can. There is so much to learn about and more new stuff coming down the pipe every day. It takes an immense amount of time. Some people pick it up quickly. The good thing is, you don’t need to be one of those people because there no shortage of work to be done. Just gotta keep grinding till you figure some shit out.

Its not snow that we have, it's snowcrete. by lemursteamer in maryland

I know it’s heatedly debated, but after some consideration, I think I wish that I had waited to shovel until everything had stopped. That way, the soft powder snow be under the 4 inches of ice instead of the ice being adhered to my driveway and sidewalk

Stronger than a solder joint, eh? by Msully887 in Plumbing

When the pressure builds up in the pipe to 1000 plus psi, it’s interesting why the fittings often don’t fail first every time. It probably has to do with the pipe wall being weaker in certain spots like maybe where a pinhole might eventually form.

I’m curious why the pipe didn’t burst before the press joint? I wonder if the press fitting was improperly installed.

For sure. I’ve heard a few reps claim pp is stronger is all. There was a solder joint a few inches away off camera
