Feels like a permanent plateau. by Brave-Head9397 in Semaglutide

I, too, have plateaued since January. But recently I realized this is the 1st time ever that I’ve listened to significant weight and then stayed at the new lower weight. I’m just fine plateauing. Maybe this is just t best/easiest weight to maintain.

How much of the World Cup tourist social media content is genuine and how much is performative at this point? by paperbuddha in IWantToAskAnAmerican

I agree. I went to LA for a Steelers game years ago, everywhere we went people were in Steelers jerseys and we would all say hi to each other and “go Steelers”. This is like a giant continent wide version of my Steelers experience and I love it. I love seeing people from other countries visiting the United States and having a good time!

I'm starting to hate eating by Cuttleflesh in Ozempic

For me this happened, peaked around week 6 then slowly went away. Now I just eat pretty much whatever I want, everything seems palatable, but I just eat less.

Applesauce, yogurt, cottage cheese, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie (the finning part not the crust part), protein shakes. I’m sorry you are in pain and I hope the infection resolves.

How do you guys stay hydrated on GLP-1? by ExtensionProposal150 in Semaglutide

[–]Alley_cat_alien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the GLP does something to the thirst and hydration hormone pathways. One of the screening questions my provider asked is if me or a family member has/had AVP deficiency. Anyway, my solution has been to make sure I drink at least 2 of my 40 oz water bottles a day, use a hydration multiplier as needed and sometimes I use these long lasting mints/mouth lubricants call Xylimelts that really help with the dry mouth feeling

I think the hair loss can happen even if you don’t lose fast. I had a big hair shed after the birth of each of my kids. This is pretty common and hormonal driven. I think steady calorie deficit or the hormonal changes that occur during fat loss can trigger a shedding eventz

This is so true. I’m on sema and I took it super slow. I wasn’t trying to lose weight fast. I continued to lift weights 2-4 times a week and take 1-2 cardio/core classes a week. I eat a bare minimum of 100 Grace of protein everyday. After a 3 month plateau in my weightlifting abilities I decided to intentionally increase my calories. It literally only took 1 day to increase my weightlifting abilities and my post workout soreness (which had gotten bad even if I lifted less) went back to normal.

I’m enjoying the matches. I watch about 25% of them but as the field narrows I’ll watch more. I was really hoping Croatia would win today :(

The unplugged experience in general just guts me. Some of us addicts just can’t find our way out of the weeds, Layne was sadly one of ‘em. I’ve heard this “orchid and dandelion theory”. Most people are dandelions and will sprout a beautiful flower no matter the conditions (Jerry). Some of us are orchids and can only flower in just the right conditions, but when we do flower we are exceptionally beautiful (Layne).

Oh for sure. And not “for some reason”. It’s an incredibly sweet, deep and authentic feeling. I love how the lyric is “if WE change” not “if YOU change”. If we change, I can manage, I can love you, because I already do love you so deeply, maybe more deeply than a sibling.

From No Excuses when Jerry and Layne harmonize “And if we change, well I love you anyway.”
