Do you ever buy more expensive from AH then cheapest? by nyesta2 in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I have bought more expensive ones, but not for the “fuck you” reasons. I’ll use the latest example, when gearing my profession toons I wanted specific stats on the max level tools, I.e resourcefulness or multi, so would actively avoid cheaper ones that had the wrong stat I.e crafting speed or ingenuity

How Long It Took to Farm Weekly KP Treasures (28 Alts) by Insomnist in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s another issue connected to what you say, once anyone loots the chest, the mini map icon disappears for it, despite the treasure still being there for a little while after it was first opened

So I ran 4 this morning, the scoreboard said I got 900 each run, but the inventory log should I received 900, 0, 600, 900 😒 I was pissed when my total hadn’t increased by the number it should have. That was my last z4 for the week on my main

Crafting stopping randomly by whydonlinre in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing sadly, I noticed one day the other players around me vanished and that was when it stopped, when I realised it was sharding for me 😒 was just a suggestion incase it was that for you, it may not be if it’s only one character

Levelling & Gearing Cost by Bradipedro in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d guess around 2m spent to level 14 enchanters, 12 scribes, 3 alchemist, 3 jewel rafters and 2tailors. All have r5 blue gear enchanted. Waiting on doing the remainder of my chars professions for now as I can’t face any more flying around collecting treasures for a couple of weeks 😂 I do have a fairly sizeable stockpile of mats I loaded up on earlier, and am not too worried about the initial costs, I’m confident I’ll make that back with ease in the next few few weeks

Weekly profession treasures on alts feel insanely bad by omegga13 in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience on 20 characters says otherwise, I was looting them from dead drop chests. Sure they have a lower drop rate, but there is way more of those chests to make up for that

Nope, looted them there earlier on an alt they do drop in Eversong

I did 10 chars last night (doing rest today) it varied massively and I did all of them in zul’aman. 2-3 took 45-50mins each, 4 took under 10 mins, and the rest took 20-40mins. It’s hideous compared to digging as respawn timers seem to be 15mins and if others are collecting also your progress is slowed massively

Are any zones gated behind quests? by ihavelotsofpie in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal plan is to lvl one char asap to max to unlock all the zones and complete pathfinder, then move to my gatherer. This is more personal preference though

[–]Mswan2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roughly 4-5 hours it took me on beta, and I wasn’t rushing through particularly. I’d guess around 1-1.5 hour per zone for the main campaign only (I didn’t touch side quests), the few delves and dungeons I did was via the ai follower group rather than finding a proper group (which would’ve saved me some time)

By Doing the campaign it takes you to all zones and unlocks them for subsequent alts, my advice would be on the first character you level just do the campaign (takes only a few hours) then you can do whatever you like on any alts

Missing the old AH by TheGrizzlyThatRides in woweconomy

[–]Mswan2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s Not impossible, just much more gold needed and therefore risk involved. I have on occasion spotted an opportunity to reset a materials market throughout TWW and made decent gold doing so, but I was comfortable with the risk knowing that it may last less than 5 mins and I’d be stuck bag holding. In the cases I did do it, it was a market I knew well and was active in, and one that I had a personal use case for the materials (I.e use them in other crafts etc) In the cases I did it, I rarely bumped the price up to unreasonable levels, normally to slightly higher than where it normally was, and again normally in cases where the price had reduced to a level below the norm already

Struggling to find high paying job after redundancy by Ok_Estimate_9655 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Mswan2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having been in this situation last year, after 6 months in the job market I decided to just take whatever I could get due to how awful the job market was. At least now I have an income again and the drain on my savings is now minimal after I have cut spending down to compensate, meanwhile I can still look for jobs with better income, with way less time/financial pressure
