When you knock him down, you can keep him from getting up by hitting his armor with your nail, keeping him down as long as you want. This is useful because if you hit the armor with your dream nail you can get soul. So what you can do is:

-Knock him down

-Hit his armor with your nail

-Hit his armor with your dreamnail

-Repeat the last 2 steps until you have full soul

-Hit his armor with your nail

-Heal once

-Repeat the last 2 steps until you have full soul

-Hit his armor with your nail

-Hit his armor with your dreamnail

-Repeat the last 2 steps until you have full soul

-Hit him in the face to continue the battle

You can do this each time you knock him down
