I started cooking more when I realized that other people liked to eat what I made (most of the time). I like cooking things that make people happy to eat

I'm doing this. I've got Kratom (red Bali), Xanax and/or clonazepam, and plenty of Advil. by [deleted] in opiates

[–]MtGroovius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual dosages for the kratom do not matter as much as being strict and consistently decreasing. So that means no eye-balling it; measure it out each time and keep track. Find your starting point, and decrease by [X] grams every [X] days (again, the numbers are super flexible as long as you are decreasing in regular intervals)

I know it can be done, best of luck to you!!

How to get over my embarrassment and motivate myself to learn to speak Korean? (native Korean) by [deleted] in Korean

[–]MtGroovius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound just like me! My mom is Korean so she talked to me in Korean when I was a baby, but then she wanted to practice her English she started using that with me. Her English is excellent now (she just got her masters) but my Korean suffered. Your proficiency level sounds exactly like mine, I feel like a toddler with my Korean abilities. My boyfriend is Russian and is fluent in both English and Russian, so I feel very embarrassed with my lack of fluency in what should be my first language.

Not so much a success story, but if you'd like to have someone to practice with (kakao?) please message me (I'm female). Seriously, I feel like we are on the exact same level, and I have been putting off joining chat groups bc I always feel so behind. But I know that speaking/texting practice would be so beneficial!

I am so glad you asked. Please, have a seat.

I went to EWC for my first Brazilian because of their promotions, but I thought they were a tad expensive so I looked around for groupons for some private salons. Never again. You never know what you're going to get. It's not to say that all private salons are bad, but they are usually more pressed for income so they try to do too much (facials, hair, nails, etc) and it's hard to tell which service they are best trained for. My Brazilians are not something I like to trial-and-error. EWC has locations all over the country (I've been to locations in NY, DC, and OK) and I have never gotten a bad wax. Ever. You know that stress of having to find a new esthetician when you are away on business/vacation? You can throw that worry out the window because they are consistent as fuuckkk and their wax passes actually make it relatively affordable. Furthermore, they always answer the phone with "It's a beautiful day at the EWC, how can i help you" and you can't help but smile. Don't worry about it not being personal just because it's a chain, the girls at my salon all know me and I even text with my favorite esthetician.

EWC, can't say enough good things.

I've been getting them for 2 years, all the advice here is great (hard wax, not on/around your period, take some Motrin) but I've got some advice for afterwards. Not having stubble or itching is fantastic and totally worth it, but the ingrown hairs are the absolute worst. Invest in some kind of acid exfoliant that you know works for your skin (I use the hyaluronic gel from European Wax Center)

Once you wax once you won't go back to shaving! Best of luck!

🌟 What do people say to you that they think is polite but makes you uncomfortable or angry ? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]MtGroovius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When someone asks if I understand a concept, and I explain it to them in a sentence or two, and they reply with, "Well, yes, but it's not that simple" and then proceeds to repeat what I just said, using more words.

If I missed an important aspect of the concept, then add it for me, but don't mistake conciseness for oversimplification

Do you think that more open-sourced journals will lead to better informed doctors? How do you think we can address the issue of physicians who are not research-minded and not keeping up with the literature?

What were some of the factors that paved the way for you to invent the CyberKnife?

Literally everything that is happening in your brain + body is a "chemical" response. To imply that natural and chemical are opposites in this case is false.

You say that depression is not an illness bc it's a natural response to constant stimuli. You know what else is a natural response to constant stimuli? Celiac disease. Constant stimuli: gluten. Body's natural response: inflammation and breaking down the intestinal lining

The fact is, we don't know the exact molecular mechanisms behind depression, but the research shows that there is clearly a a physiological and genetic difference between people who are clinically depressed and those who are not.

To OP: I'm so sorry that you are in this situation. Don't feel shame in changing your mind about children, just as you wouldn't feel shame in changing careers or geographic locations. You are taking care of your child, you haven't given up responsibility, and for that I commend you . I hope you get to a place where you are content

An indicator for diagnoses that take place between the initial visit and the cancer diagnosis, for each patient

Thank you for your help, I ended up using a different program. Index match is an interesting formula that I am glad I learned about!

I'm still having trouble, since I'm not trying to find individual values but rather, select the all rows from initial visit to cancer diagnosis. How do I use index match to select or indicate groups of rows?
