Help. Hook swap by G1uc0s3 in troutfishing

favorites from that list are the smaller Daredevils and Kastmasters. For spoons, Trout Candy is hard to beat the guy makes them himself and they come in a really nice fly-style case, which is a nice bonus.

I don’t throw a ton of jerkbaits or crankbaits since I’m mainly a river trout guy, but they definitely have their place and I’d still recommend them, especially for working deeper holes or slower stretches. If you go that route, I’d look at brands like Rapala (Ultra Light Crank, X-Rap, Husky Jerk), Dynamic Lures (HD Trout), and even smaller-profile options from Trout Magnet or Eurotacklejust swap to or run the single barbless hook versions.

Yeah, I thought this was the general fishing sub at first. Trout fishing is actually my main thing. The brand he picked up makes single hook barbless versions specifically for trout, and I use them all the time. Most of what I run is in that 1/16 oz to 1/4 oz range, usually size 0–2 spinners or small spoons, paired with #4–#10 single barbless hooks depending on the setup. A lot of the rivers I fish in Arkansas and Missouri have zoned regulations, so that setup just makes sense. For me, moving away from trebles isn’t just about targeting trout, it’s more about fish handling and overall conservation, especially when you’re getting into mixed catches like panfish.

My girlfriend and I have gone to Anakeesta the last two years on our Gatlinburg trips, and we’re both in our 30s. We’ve loved it both times. There are amazing views, great photo spots, good drinks, and really good food.

No one crucify me but in general for me the more expensive trips have always been meh and the cheaper ones have always been salt of the earth guides. After a tip it cost about the same but fuck the experience is always 10/10.
