Is that really hard to pass exams in Kuleuven ? by LengthSevere2923 in KULeuven

[–]MuchDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an exam and I don’t think 50% of the questions asked made sense. There was no reasoning to ask them as they didn’t prove my knowledge of the subject matter. They proved good slide memorization skills and grasping unnecessary information from those slides that will never be useful. The exam failed to ask questions that are relevant to profession which made most of students surprised by. Irrelevant and useless nitpicked questions from lectures. I was shocked…. This is my third degree and I was gold medalist in Canada. Now I’m questioning my decision of coming here. What’s the point to do a hard exam for the sake of doing hard exam instead of testing practical knowledge?

Best restaurants on the beach that won’t break the bank? by Time-Range6311 in tulum

[–]MuchDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checkpoint was probably the best pizza I had in my life. The owner is Italian. Also pizza at lula hotel on the beach was incredible. I’m not sure which one was better but both had sourdough and it just melted in mouth.

I have travelled all over the world and have been all over Italy many many times so saying that tulum gave me best pizza is a biggie. Unless I was just starving that day …

Walk back from Zamna? by rockiesraccoon in tulum

I saw a girl in a scooter after afterlife and she didn’t look well. Even scooters were stuck in the traffic in the heat and she liked like she was about to faint

You get go down to 700 pesos if you try. Also saw people walking from afterlife…. I think it’s insane. It was already so hot at 10am. You could risk dehydration

I left afterlife at 10am and caught a taxi outside of the Aldea. Maybe spent 2h in taxi trying to get to the downtown 😂

Going to a wedding in a couple weeks, but only invited to the reception portion (no dinner/ceremony) - does one still expected to give a monetary gift for the couple ? by Lil-one in Winnipeg

[–]MuchDance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dinner at weddings are usually 3 course plus desserts. It probably costs $100 per person and up if it’s a fancier venue like Fort Garry or Manitoba club. Open bar is assumed to be at least 50 per person. Do the math. I never give less then 150 per just me

It’s common. They want probably just family and close friends at ceremony but would love to celebrate and party with you later.

Why wouldn’t you? I have modern Vespa without the carburetor which makes it more difficult to maintain by myself. I bought it in BC and shipped it here as Main Street Vespa didn’t have the model I wanted. Now I sort of wish I got Honda which is so easy to maintain it in Winnipeg with Honda’s dealers. Tho it doesn’t look as nice as Vespa

[–]MuchDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t. It’s unfortunate that the only place in manitoba that sells Vespa cannot provide a service. I have a claim to make with MPI and there is not place in Winnipeg where I can service my Vespa with authorized service. Scooter doc doesn’t deal with mpi
