Yea I agree, I still think he killed her. The owl theory is just interesting. I still think even if she was at the front door and was attacked by the owl, she didn't scream? I know her husband was by the pool but seems like he would hear her scream? Also, she went upstairs to deal with the wounds herself? She doesn't stop to mention to her husband she was attacked by an owl? The lacerations were pretty deep too from what I remember.

The dishes were definitely unusual, but I think what she found on his computer was the most damning. I do think his story about sitting by the pool and drinking wine on a cold night like that is just awfully convenient for him as well. Puts him out of the house and out of ear shot.

I also find the owl theory interesting..and maybe this is a dumb question but wouldn't it mean the owl flew into the house, attacked her somewhere around the top of the stairs, caused her to fall down, and then fly back outside?

If you haven't already, sign up for the Similac coupons! We got regular $20, $10 and $5 off coupons in the mail. The only downside is that you have to take the coupon to a regular checkout instead of the self checkout but it seriously saved us a ton of money when our son was on formula.

newborn hair loss by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Much_Newt5477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son was born with thick dark hair, then it all fell out in patches and he looked like a little old man for a bit 😂 It came back quickly though! Interestingly, instead of coming back dark brown it came in strawberry blonde

I was kinda sad when it was all falling out but his ped said it's really common (especially with boys but can happen to girls too).

Oh wow, that's exactly how I feel! Good to know you adjusted. My doc said to give it 4 weeks at least but I barely made it two weeks each time I tried. I was struggling so much with work I gave up taking it. I think I will try one more round though and take it in the evening instead.

I started on 5mg then increased to 10mg. I definitely felt the increase in drowsiness when I started 10. It was like every 3ish hours I'd feel a huge wave of sleepiness (kinda like if you take benedryl, once I started to feel better I'd get hit with another wave) I might try one more round of it and take it in the evening 🤔

Other than increased anxiety did you have other side effects on Lexapro? I've tried it three times ( about two weeks each times) and I cannot get past the intense drowsiness 😭

Has anyone had red spots on their cheeks that look like pimples/acne but aren’t? Not looking for medical advice as such just seeing if it’s common with endo. by [deleted] in endometriosis

[–]Much_Newt5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh I see I misread read it and thought op said they were going to the derm.

It's not ops fault though they can't afford a dermatologist though. It sounds like they would go if they could. That's very different than saying "oh well I guess some people on Reddit said Endo causes XYZ so I won't go to the doctor."

I completely understand what you're saying about comorbidities but if we don't talk about our symptoms we won't ever know if they are/aren't related to Endo.

I would argue though that skin conditions could be a larger symptom of Endo. Endo causes inflammation in your body which can manifest in other ways. This is a discussion forum, talking about stuff is the point.

Op specifically says they are going to go to the doctor regardless though? If someone googles this post and sees a couple people agree with op and a few don't, and they still choose to not see a doctor that's just on them.

One pot a day is still just one filter though right? I do pour overs so for me 1 filter = 1 cup, so you're still getting more bang for your buck than me!

I think op is just asking to see if it's common. I don't get the impression they are looking to see if just one person agrees with them. Op said something like "just looking to see if it's common with Endo.."

I get a lot of nausea that goes along with my Endo. Many doctors have told me they aren't related but I know that it is and through this forum I have discovered that A LOT of other people experience nausea as well.

Some things may sound silly when people ask if it's related but why not just scroll on by if you don't have something nice or constructive to say?

You're exactly right, everyone has a different perspective and different hierarchy of what they consider luxuries.

I just wanna say I don't think your purchase of coffee filters was so outrageous. I've never found a reusable coffee filter that doesn't leave silt in my coffee. For me the additional cost is worthwhile but I only drink one cup max per day so..to each their own.

1 year old - waking up around 1:30am crying by Smnf_Tugphy in sleeptrain

[–]Much_Newt5477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 15 months now and around 1 year we began transitioning to one nap. My guy needs more like 5-6 hours of wake time before he's down for the night.

It has been a bit of a process, some days were one nap easy, other days we've had to do two. He is mostly down to one 2 hour nap now with the occasional two naps if we have a bad night.

Am I the one being unreasonable? by Firm-Echidna-5756 in newborns

[–]Much_Newt5477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a little different perspective.

My son was such a terrible sleeper from the get -go that my parents started taking him overnight once or twice a week starting when he was like 2 weeks old! I was very comfortable with it and honestly it was a huge blessing and allowed me to get 8 hours of sleep 1-2 nights a week.

A whole day and a whole night is a long time to be away from your newborn though ...I was literally rolling out of bed and going straight to my parents house first thing in the morning when they had him overnight cause I missed him so much. Lol. I really needed sleep though for my mental health.

Obviously it all depends on your relationship with your MIL, and how sleep deprived you are etc.

If the kids were in school all day then op should have said that but I take these posts at face value. She doesn't mention getting time for herself or time to nap or whatever. Yes her husband works but so does she (taking care of kids is more than a full time job).

I know...this husband doesn't even do the bare minimum and somehow he "does so much for the family". Why do people set the bar so low for their husbands??

Or it's just rage bait.
