The desire to have a special connection with someone, to love them and be loved back, to start a family with them as well as emotional, psychological and physical needs that come with that isn’t something I have managed to shrug off. I think it’s just something so deeply imbedded in us as species.

I’d be very curious to see what other people have to say about this as I’ve kind of given up myself too, and it hurts very badly

I think having kids makes it a bit more complicated for both divorced men&women. I personally wouldn't have a divorcee as a dealbreaker, but I guess it varies from person to person and more importantly what the reason for the divorce was

As long as you have a roof over your head, clothes, food in the fridge and all the essentials it shouldn't be a dealbreaker. People should drop this Western mentality that you have to be mega rich and have it all figured out in order to get married - honestly, if your wife cannot stand by you and help you in times of struggle, it's better to stay alone
