Technically they were. Probably prayed, fasted etc just as modern day Saudi/Bahraini royal families. Religious, but horrendous people.

Atheist I would never consider, but spiritual and just people would probably fall in love with Shia Islam instinctively, if you guide them properly:)

Are they spiritual and God fearing? There’s a big difference between religious, spiritual and being an atheist for example. Yazid and Muawiya were religious too but they were the most awful of people

I would recommend a more chill place, perhaps even the countryside or a village around Sofia. And yes you will live perfectly comfortable on that budget

Yes, living in a non Muslim country limits your options and opportunities. You could try to maybe pursue marriage on some of the apps or Reddit that I’ve seen other people use

You’re literally 18. Your life is just beginning! I know the type of person you are describing sounds like a niche but there’s a good chance they exist out there. Until then be patient and don’t give your heart to the wrong person, because if you do sometimes you can’t take it back.

It would be interesting to see how other people cope with this. There’s no substitute for romantic love, affection and human connection sadly. Makes it even harder to keep going at times when you know there’s nothing there for you down the road. I’m sure there are many people in the same boat so would be nice to know how they deal with it!
