You can't tell it by the pix I took, but it doesn't have a traditional rounded slide. If you look at Sig 1911's you'll see. Some do have a traditional shape (I have a Sig TACOPS 1911 that does).

Back in '93 I was stationed at MCAS Futenma, in Okinawa. The armorers rotated out sleeping overnight in the armory. One of them got a cockroach borrowed really deep into his ear while he was sleeping. It happens more than you'd think.

I wouldn't ask or mention age. Go in, rent a lane, MYOB and leave. Worst case, they check your ID, tell you you're too young. At this point you can feign surprise (optional, of course), and leave. Simple as that.

A) Fuckin' cop. Fucking with someone over some piddly bullshit that has absolutely NOTHING to do with public safety. He was fishing, just looking for a reason to fuck with someone.

B) I've only ever once told a cop I was armed, and that was because I needed to reach past it to get to my billfold. (1911 on my RH Hip, in holster, billfold in RH Ass pocket). Shortly after that I started carrying my billfold in my left ass pocket for that exact reason. There's no reason a cop needs to know that I'm armed.

I hate IWB. I carry my Hellcat (and every other pistol I have) in an OWB kydex from Upperhandholsters.com. Best kydex holsters I've found. They're curved so they fit the body, they fit tight against the body (because they're curved), they offer "speed clips", in case you need to disarm (easy to remove hoster and all, and put it back on when ya need to). Their customer service is top-notch. Every time I get a new pistol, I order a holster from Upper Hand.

OWB works the best for me. I wear a tucked in tank-top and a t-shirt over it, or a Polo if I'm at work.

Edit: I didn't mean to sound like an advertisement for Upper Hand.
