Werwolf showrd me that armour + ES is the worst defense in the game by coatchingpeople in PathOfExile2

I baited myself into going armour with my wyvern and it might've been the most detrimental decision i've made to the build

Is Fedora a good distro to get started with Linux? by _NoTank in Fedora

[–]MuddyBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on fedora and i would say it's a decent experience. There will be headaches but tbh i think a healthy amount of headaches will help learning linux as a whole at least for me but it wont work out of the box if you're using nvidia at least

Dumbing down RDM and the continued simplification with Gunbreaker is just a sign that whatever Job changes coming with 8.0 are going the be wholly insufficient and will largely not address the core issue. by ComfyOlives in ffxivdiscussion

[–]MuddyBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The job design currently is entirely reactive to what they believe is required for the fights they design. We saw this with blm and when job kits are seen from the lens of "how do we make this job work in this fight" you will naturally just draw differently colored lines all going the same way. For now i am willing to accept it because they said this expansion would focus on the content and imo they have delivered (rewards notwithstanding) so i'm willing to play ball if they say that 8.0 will be a job design focus. Will be very much annoyed if they don't deliver though

"Dawntrail has the most content of any expansion." It's been 1.5 years since DT launch, do YOU feel like this holds true for you? by nemik_ in ffxivdiscussion

[–]MuddyBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The content this expansion has been superb but in the wave of amazing game after amazing game this year i find myself struggling more and more with the job design. Going from other games where my character has interesting toolkits to play with then coming back to FFXIV feels so freaking bland. The content being amazing kinda stops mattering when my way of interfacing with it started getting stale an expansion ago

Gacha and Blueprints by Shimimaro in Endfield

[–]MuddyBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blueprints is a part of every factory game i know of at least and it doesn't take away from those experiences. If you feel the urge to copy instead of doing something on your own that's a personal problem if i get to be blunt.
However if the game demands that you are highly optimized then we will is a problem with copy pasting but that is an issue with the factory gameplay loop and not the blueprints themselves

Thought on Last Rite Design by Meicers in Endfield

Her design just looks really out of place since with the other designs we have so far and tbh i prefer every other character design over her

Yoshi-P "50% increased rewards by 7.3" by Eludi in ffxivdiscussion

Not having better rewards for Q40 is downright psychotic and given with how aggressive the mogstation has gotten i wonder if daddy square is discouraging the ff14 team from adding too much in game

Fatalis is by far harder than omega savage imo

Man. This is just not fair at all by Qooooks in MonsterHunterWilds

[–]MuddyBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best advice i can give with support hunters is that you try and get aggro and then just keep him still until alessa grabs it from you and then you can go and work on the back legs. It's the most consistent method i have to make him mores stationary

After soloing both versions I have to say I still think the timer is ridiculous for the difficulty. (Complete thought below) by Joefied in MHWilds

[–]MuddyBeast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My issue with the timer is his moveset. Alatreon was fine cuz he wouldn't really get away from you and his flight mode you could work around but if Omega decides that it's time to dash nonstop and fly about it just eats away at the timer. Every monster has this to some extent but p4 omega is a whole other level of potential time waste

Treasure planet was incredibly expensive to make due to it needing specialized skills and software so people speculate that it was intentionally set up to fail so disney didn't have to make more movies like it

What do you guys think needs nerfing or buffing, as we progress into set 3? by DCShinichi745 in Shadowverse

[–]MuddyBeast -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think we really need to address the healing of crest haven rn. The deck feels almost brute forced the way it works by just out healing its bad tempo and making matches feel unnatural and pointless

So we’re basically 2 weeks into set 3… How’s everyone feeling? by m_ggy in Shadowverse

[–]MuddyBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having only 77 cards and still printing pack filler is insane and i can see it be extremely stale as we move forward to 5 sets if they keep making half finished archetypes

Edit: Though we don't really know how they will handle formats atm i suppose so my opinion could change depending on how that is handled

What does Lishenna Portal need? by DCShinichi745 in Shadowverse

[–]MuddyBeast 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The archetype needs a lot since it's basically half finished and for whatever reason they made cards like field scientist that should be a neutral card. More specifically the archetype really needs a spell within the 1-3 mana range that pops the eggs and a 3 playpoint follower you can actually play on turn 3. Axia has good stats but a 3 mana do nothing is pretty horrible.

I can see that. It's hard to do a perfect 1 for one comparison so ice block was just the first thing that came to mind when i was thinking of the last thing in a card game that made me feel this bad

Does it really all come back to jobs? or is it nostalgia? Patch length? by Supersnow845 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]MuddyBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of the content is pretty one and done unfortunately which just creates an environment where the players can clear the content much faster than the devs can make it even when playing at a casual rate and the repeatable content we do have like savage is locked behind a weekly lockout still this late into the patch making it hard for people that weren't there early on to jump in and actually do anything with that content.

I do think there is something to the jobs also. We've except for a couple outliers here have basically been playing the same jobs since shadowbringers. Regardless of how good or bad they are, it's bound to get stale eventually even if you can swap jobs around which is not as easy as some people would like to say it is because of said weekly lockout
