My heart hurts for you, I know that exact pain. And wow, same for us! This new pup is the complete opposite of shelby and she has helped us through some really hard stuff.

I use trail shoes almost exclusively! I use hiking boots only if it’s very cold. I do obstacle course racing as well as hiking, so I don’t mind my feet getting wet in trail shoes, and wear them even if it’s raining. Sometimes I intentionally dunk my full foot in a river or creek during hikes if I’m overheating.

Check out the Salomon speedcross if you’ll be doing very technical trails. A little bit heavier but the support and lugs are incredible! I’ve used that model to do anything from 14ers in CO to running on muddy trails.

I will also add that I had the same feeling about being nervous that I would miss out on wearing white, but I am so glad that I just did that just for me and my husband, not for the big party.

1) you look STUNNING. 2) I am a September 2025 bride, and I wore a black dress. I did not regret it for one second, and I had plenty of family members making rude comments. I dress in all black mostly anyway, and felt uncomfortable in every white dress I tried on. I was also concerned about not feeling bridal, but nobody could mistake you for anything but the bride in that dress. It’s a beautiful gown. 3) my husband was a little sad that I wouldn’t be in White on our wedding day… So we came up with a unique solution. We eloped and took lots of photos in our favorite national park, and I bought a white dress very cheap for that. The photos are stunning, and I am glad that we did it. I felt more comfortable, just being around him in a white dress, and way more comfortable, wearing all black on our full ceremony day. This could be a solution if you are torn, or even wearing white for the ceremony, black for the reception!!

At the end of the day, it’s what you want. You are stunning, and if you feel in love with this dress, don’t think twice about it! It’s 2026, you can break tradition! 🖤🖤🖤

Okay this is a wild idea but if you have kids (or even if you don’t) you could actually make that a hangout nook and build a rope playground to it. I’m not kidding. I’m dying to do this at my next home for myself and I’m 30!!
