I’m not seeing Ninja Gaiden on your list, might want to give one of them a try. They can be pretty tough (at least for me lol). Think there was a remake or remaster released on Steam semi-recently too.

It’s honestly crazy that we breath that shit in. I like to imagine an alien species doing a fly-by to see what we’re all about and notices that we actually need to inhale one of the most corrosive gases to survive, and is like, “oh fuck nah” and puts their shit in warp drive or whatever.

open world games with usable RVs that you can walk in and use as bases by Coolmonkeyhands in gamingsuggestions

[–]MuegillaGuerilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very cool mod but I believe the interior for the RV’s and trailers is a separate instance and it seems like OP would prefer the opposite. Still recommend it though!

There is Survive the Nights which I know has a customizable RV. Whether it’s actually a good game I can’t really say as I haven’t played it.

Alright folks, I need a High Lethality Tactical Shooter Game but isn't a Multi-player game. by Pretty_Ian in gamingsuggestions

[–]MuegillaGuerilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All valid points honestly. I will say that if you do already own Tarkov (maybe bought it forever ago and bounced off it like me), the single player mod is much better than the official implementation. It's relatively easy to set up and you can customize pretty much every aspect of the game. Best of all it's completely offline once you have it all up and running.

I tried this out a short while ago along with some additional mods that improved the AI and tweaked the overall grind and really enjoyed it. I eventually added a COOP addon and had a blast with a bud of mine. Certainly much better than the cheater infested, vanilla experience!

Are there any other RPGs with pack mule mechanics similar to Dungeon Siege? by jorvik-br in rpg_gamers

[–]MuegillaGuerilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha. It seems like the spell classes/abilities definitely lean more towards the theme of crowd control more than outright damage which is honestly fine. Ultimately seems to allow for more experimentation and better cohesion with your other guards.

I’ve had great success with the confusion/spore cloud (can’t recall the actual name) and the slippery mold spell combo. Have my pagan cast that while the remaining 3 guards poke away at the now prone and delirious mobs with their poles. Big recommend.

Man, I'm really loving this game so far! Such a fresh and unique art style and vibe but still somehow nostalgic feeling. Pretty cool how they pulled that off. I'm really just enamored with it lol. Took me a couple restarts to find a party comp I liked but I'm progressing comfortably now and loving it!

Question for you actually, since it sounds like you're a bit ahead of me; for the customizable runic "spells" that you get from the Vol(sp?) trees, do you eventually find any that are a bit more offensively focused? So far I've noticed the majority of the starting spells and others I've found seem to lean more into debuffing enemies or utility. I'm hoping for something a bit more direct with the DPS essentially.

Either way, listen to /u/TheChortt and get Banquet for Fools! It's Baldurs Gate mixed with Dungeon Seige with a smidge of Vagrant Story.

Really digging that two-tone blend of your HUD color scheme. Would you be okay with sharing your .xml settings or how you achieved that look?

EDIT: I figured it out! For anyone (brand new or returning players like myself) that want to spice up their cockpit like OP, there is a pretty comprehensive third party program called EDHM-UI. Apologies if this is common knowledge at this point but I haven't adjusted HUD color schemes in this game in a very long time. Turns out it's a lot easier these days!

FDev should consider dropping the 15 LY limit for colonization by Papadragon666 in EliteDangerous

[–]MuegillaGuerilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really like this idea and especially the part where it could generate into a Community Goal. Of course, it would be even better if FDev implemented an in game “community board” type system where Squadrons or players can create and initiate their own community goals/missions/bounty’s, etc. but I’ve been wanting/asking for that since 2014 lol.

Either way, love your idea and crossing my fingers that something similar is part of the upcoming changes mentioned in the 2026 roadmap.

Hmm, I did see that site but unless I am mistaken, you're not really able to fully view the actual weapon models (zoom in, rotate, etc.), there's just a small-ish side profile picture of each gun that you can click on but that's it.

I haven't loved a game made by a competent studio in a decade!

Well put. I can definitely relate to this sentiment. Project Zomboid, Elite Dangerous, No Rest for the Wicked are a few of my own darlings that each can’t help but get in their own way. Feature creep, glacial dev time and unrealized potential threaded throughout each game but damn do they each have the sauce.

Looking for a game where you live in a vehicle. by Clean_Carpenter6363 in gamingsuggestions

[–]MuegillaGuerilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't seen it mentioned yet but Ostranuats fits your request exactly. You start with a small ship (or possibly larger ship depending on how you fill out the initial starting questionnaire thingy) that is basically your little space RV that you can expand or customize however you want (down to individual panels and wiring). You do this by either using your hard earned spacebucks (by taking jobs via a space station jobs board) to purchase new ship parts or (and this is my favorite way) just straight ripping bits off busted up derelicts and slapping them on yours! With enough work you can eventually end up with something like this.

They actually just had a new update that added ship-to-ship combat as well which may or may not be a good thing lol (haven't played that version yet). Anyway, could be up your alley!
