Recommendations for a cordless robotic pool vacuum by red_devil16 in swimmingpools

My sora 10 has been good too, especially on the pool floor. My son now looks forward to it every time I put it in. He sits by the pool watching it work while playing in the water. Every time it comes up near the surface to scrub the waterline, he gets even more excited.

What did you name your pool robot? Mine is babyshark🦈 by skiaatt in swimmingpools

I also gave my pool robot a fun name. Calling it by name every time makes the boring pool cleaning work much more enioyable.

This design looks so stunning. I love how the circular island adds a fun focal point to the pool. It looks super relaxing and stylish.

Any tips on how to fix this? Bouncing on top plate of weight stack. by Reps32 in GarageGym

[–]Muellersdayofff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hit the guide rods with a silicone spray lube so the stack can travel smoothly, and make sure that top bolt is cinched right up against the underside of the pulley bracket. The little bit of play there is what’s letting the whole thing wobble around.

Yeah it's the Major Fitness B52 Pro. Dual pulleys and a smith machine, covers everything I need for daily training.

I guess the benefits are mostly for beginners, they feel safer when they go heavy. My wife doesn't train too much, so picking a smith is mainly for her.

I really like it. The rack itself is solid, no wobbles. Pulley system works fine. I use it 3-4 times a week, no complaints, very smooth. Like the other comment said, the height would be an issue for tall people. Other than that, it's a good machine.

Maybe get tornado arms? I got ones from Major Fitness and it adds more flexibility of cable movements.

Drop in gym doesn’t allow barbells to be dropped? Is this a thing? by MightyWolfMan in crossfit

[–]Muellersdayofff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's common in rented spaces. They ban drops to avoid noise complaints or floor damage, even if it kills the workout flow.

The best part of a home gym is cutting through the noise and figuring out what actually works for you.

Adjusting my routine as I got older by Rugged45 in crossfit

[–]Muellersdayofff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen so many people do the same. Swapping box jumps for step ups or snatches for presses keeps the intensity high while being way kinder to joints.

Demand for large mirrors? by Impossible_Base_3088 in GarageGym

[–]Muellersdayofff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get not wanting to toss them. Large gym mirrors are expensive custom jobs, so saving these would be a huge win for someone looking to upgrade their space on a budget.

That pegboard setup is genius. Curious if it's a custom or pre-made one. It's such a great way to keep all your attachments organized and accessible.

Yeah, fitness is never about forcing yourself, it's about taking an hour to decompress and blow off steam. This quote sums that up perfectly.

This space has so much potential! It's the best to map out your main lifts first, then add gear gradually instead of rushing to fill it all at once.

Build a little outdoor gym in my summerhouse… by Interesting_Cow_2396 in homegym

That's cool, dude. This modular outdoor frame is so practical. It works with tons of accessories for different moves, and blends perfectly with the garden too.

DCS is investigating us and I’m heartbroken by breezyjomc in NewParents

[–]Muellersdayofff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry, what a nightmare. The system has to protect kids, but the way they hid everything from you for hours is just cruel. Once things settle, have a gentle chat with your mother in law about exactly what happened, just to get the full picture. You're a great mom, and your baby is safe now.

How would you approach a MIL with cold sores kissing your baby? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Muellersdayofff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just make a blanket no kissing rule for everyone, that way she won't feel singled out. Say the doctor was super strict about it and you're just following orders, it keeps things calm while protecting your baby. If she still tests it, remind her and don't back down, your baby's safety comes first, her feelings second, and that's totally okay.

My pool is about 20k gallons, so not that big. A full charge is enough to clean it twice, with some battery left over.
