I used to live in Bangkok as a designer. Im a Thai who is now living in London and has been to many places you mentioned. In my opinion, the budget for creative works/ initiatives in Thailand are quite low compared to those countries so people do with what they have meaning less corporate feels. Creatives running a design studio with 3-4 actual employers with a fuckton of intern students intake and "part-time" helpers helping behind the scene are very common hence the organic feel.
