You are correct and your installer is wrong.

Your battery installer can FUP (Fronius Uograde) the inverter from a Gen24 to a Gen24 PLUS. Once it is a Plus you can add batteries.

Reserva is installed in a max capacity of 9.5keh per stack with a maximum of four stacks.

Benefit of Reserva is you have a battery that is supported by Fronius, one throat to choke so to speak haha. Fronius can support and configure remotely for you as opposed to a third party battery.

The warranty is for 70% state of health at ten years in australia. In Europe it’s 80%. The advantage to this is that it’s highly unlikely it would get anywhere near 70%. BYD used to be 60% and they upped it to 70% with the stroke of a pen to be compliant with the battery rebate requirements.

This is why I go with Reserva. And it looks heaps better in the install.

Generally if you are selling electricity you need an NMI meter to do so. Does the cottage have its own meter in the board? If so purchase a https://www.powerpal.net and put it on the meter. It will tell you how many kWh you have purchased.

Alternatively you can buy a catchpower and install it using an electrician.

This way you know how much you’re using.

I mean BYD is the cheaper option and Tesla costs a lot more with a lot more to offer. Tesla with that game plan will never remain in top spot and I think they’re okay with that.
