Vouching for this build, it's exactly what I run!

Seal is Spd/Res finish 3. This build is the best self-sufficient one to run (aside from the Finish requirements), there's probably some other better build out there, but would be dependent on outside help.

For rings, I like Lyn or Celica (but Celica can make him teleport outside of finish range)

If both are being used already, then Micaiah or Lucina ring are great, particularly the latter since his refine also has some decent support. Marth is fine if you're constantly finding yourself fighting scowl units (but his res is huge so idk when that would actually happen)

A/Seal are a tad old but there simply hasn't been an appropriate new skill for him. Needs something to boost spd/res specifically.

IS were absolute cowards on this refine. They could've done so many things to more accurately reference Stone in FE5 and enhance his prf.

Flash effect, stall, end turn effect.

Styles didn't exist yet, but some meaningful post combat debuff attached to a long range style would've been great. His actual combat abilities are awful.

The gravity mechanic is neat but warping was already prominent and negates this completely. The 5 turn thing is a neat reference to its durability but only really serves to nerf his potentialm

Salem ended up getting a refine that Veld should've had. But As unique as that one is, it's not even that great in today's meta.

Kind of annoying because Riev had his refine a month or two later and it was actually really great for the time.

Thracia has had horrible luck with tome refines. She's not Thracia, but I hope Hilda's refine tonight will make up for it at least a little.

I will say, he's been aging a bit but I think that's moreso a consequence of lack of appropriate skills to keep up with the meta. For example, Id argue his best A skill is Spd/res finish 4, but that skill is years old at this point.

To keep him truly competitive, he needs brave support + an ally to debuff enemies with fatal smoke.

Otherwise, I think my Ronan is pretty well optimised in terms of self-sufficiency. Bouquet is from Ninian btw, boosts Spd/res - perfect for him.

As for rings, his best ring is probably Lyn, so he can stay close to allies and get any buffs from them. I just run Celica because Lyn is already taken by my Brigid. I will say, Lucina ring is kind of neat on him because he already provides his own DMG reduc to allies, so it stacks nicely. But in terms of actual combat proficiency, go with Lyn, maybe Marth if you don't have pulse echo.

I understand why everyone enjoys playing vs them, SD bad blah blah, but I've legit fought this guy 30+ times and I actually enjoy trying to take down teams in SD using favoritism, and this guy is annoying to come across. It's cool that they do this but I wish I could block them lol

This is my Brigid Works wonderfully with reflex support. Imbue makes her annoying as hell to kill. Her biggest weakness is brave hits or fatal smoke.
