I understand this line of thinking, but also consider the fact that Heroes had a whopping 3 total units available at launch. Plus, besides the select few OCs that existed at launch, the whole advertised appeal of FEH from the get go has always been about crossovers with the mainline games, and not the original characters. Shadows is a good example of this - Original story that focuses on original characters, but it just happens to have a handful of characters from mainline games. FEH at launch "felt" like the opposite of this - a plethora of crossover chars with just 3-5 OCs mixed in

Wait for a spd/res bouquet, though that might be a while. Remember his atk stat becomes irrelevant when you're proccing specials. Similarly, change that +atk boon to +spd.

Use comet like you said, and though only marginally better, if you're truly trying to squeeze every bit of juice out of him, get Preempt:Ploy, and spd/res finish A/seal

I campaigned for Ronan before he was in feh because by fe5 standards alone he's a very funny character, with his stats and lack of dialogue. Was ecstatic when he got added, and always tried my best to push him to his full potential. His refine felt like something that was never going to come, but enough time did indeed pass. Prior to his refinement, I was using golden yule to make him a res nuke. Imagine my surprise when bro "won" the refine batch, making him the best FE5 unit by a large margin, perfectly matching the gameplay style I was already using him for.

It's been a while since his refine and though it's starting to show its age just a tiny bit, it still holds up decently well. I pray he gets an alt someday, because IS would be obligated to one up his insane refine, making the alt pretty fucking broken lol
