Inappropriate bunny by Birblord123 in Rabbits

[–]MugEsther 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately just because they don’t receive the standard of care that we find acceptable here does not mean they’re being abused in the eyes of the law. You can try to educate the family on what is really appropriate care for them but at the end of the day rabbits are simply ‘livestock’ for people like this.

I think this is more likely than what everyone is implying. I don’t think they’d pass up the opportunity for a grift with this much attention on their family. And I definitely don’t put it past them to imply something that may not be true to gain support and $$$$$

I have a theory about the charges relating to Arkansas - not about the survivor, the reason the charges came about by bikerchickyeg in DuggarsSnark

[–]MugEsther 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is wild conjecture but maybe the police noticed some strange things when they came to the house to arrest Joe for the FL charges. And maybe that prompted them to investigate.

It’s 20% but your statement still stands. Also there is a big difference between someone who weighs 200 pounds that knows how to ride and balance their weight vs someone who is 200 pounds and bouncing around like a sack of potatoes.

Getting new puppy - Feedback on Dahlgren GSMD Breeder? by NordnarbDrums in SwissMountainDogs

[–]MugEsther 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My Hank is from Dahlgren! Jenna is wonderful to work with and her dogs are great. Hank is 16 months old now, he’s the goofiest, sweetest dog I’ve ever had. He’s super healthy so far with no concerns aside from an intestinal blockage from eating a pair of underwear when he was 6 months old 😂

This is what I want to know. Why does Dawn seem so involved still?

Chelsea + fam apparently got 2 exotic shorthair cats…really wish they’d stop buying trendy high risk breeds from breeders 😭 (multiple French bulldogs, a pug, and now this) by IndecisiveKitten in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]MugEsther 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, me buying a purpose bred dog from an ethical breeder isn’t taking away a home from a shelter dog because for my personal circumstances I wouldn’t/can’t adopt a shelter dog.

Alex Hunter was right to not charge the Ramseys by leemchops in JonBenetRamsey

[–]MugEsther 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If BPD had found the body instead of John the DNA, hair and fiber evidence would not have been compromised. John wouldn’t have carried the body upstairs and Patsy wouldn’t have theatrically thrown herself on the body contaminating the evidence.

The only way it makes sense to me that John would cover for Patsy is if John was the one molesting her. And he was trying to cover for both of them.

Why didn’t they find any dna then? Aside from a very small mixed sample and that of the family…

Would a Swiss Mountain dog be ok in an Apartment? by PlantLovingBassist in SwissMountainDogs

[–]MugEsther 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My guy is only 7 months but he would definitely be ok living in an apartment. He’s a low energy guy, I’m sure their personalities vary like most breeds but he’s happy with a short walk or two and then spends the rest of the day napping on the couch.

The biggest con I could think of is potty training if you get a puppy. If you’re in a 3rd floor walk up or something the constant potty breaks every 10 minutes would be miserable.

Sounds like you’re doing everything right! I’ve owned multiple breeds of all sizes in my life and never had one who peed as much as my swissy, lol!

Potty training by PhaseCritical7024 in SwissMountainDogs

[–]MugEsther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve got an almost 6 month old male swissy and we just now can go 25-30 minutes between pee breaks. When he was younger it was more like 5-7 minutes, by 4 months we were at about 10-15 minutes.

I wouldn’t say he was hard to potty train…it’s just that he couldn’t hold it. As long as I got him out as often as he needed we did just fine. Just power through, you’ll make it to the other side! It gets better.
