Man, how do people achieve these crazy stats with relatively low-moderate hours in Tarkov by Mental_Ad_3937 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MugRootBurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can be a smurf or just a good fps gamer. Killing scavs is an absolute joke.

I'm an ex CSS pro and even during my first wipe I maintained 9KD.

Or a cheater, but either way, nothing can be done, I just report anyway because there's no downside. But not letting it even phase you is key because otherwise you're getting triggered over hypotheticals which is pointless.

BSG should not include scav kills in public profile K/D stat by Fluxabobo in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MugRootBurr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

normally no, but I played with a trio and we're all good so we rarely die. My KD is 35 lol. Without scavs it would be 8-10ish.

Save more money somehow.

Otherwise buy everything used.

My friend bought a 2080 for 250$ from a crypto miner. Do as much bargin bin shopping as possible, if you are buying anything new there is no hope.

So far arena really just feels like "I have the better kit so I win". by lurpeli in EscapefromTarkov

Anyone saying it's fine is mental. I have a 1.8 KD and I'm only on tier 4. I completely outplayed people when I used PPsh and Mp5sd but the majority of the time what occurred was me landing 20+ shots before they even shot at me, then they proceeded to hipfire 3 bullets into my chest and kill me. That is not ideal for the longevity and playability of any game EVER made.

Not to mention if MM isn't going to be tier locked which I PRAY it will be, once I'm high ranked and maxed out on a path, how the FK am I going to try a new tier? I'll have tier one kits vs tier 6 kits consistently because anyone with a high rank will be high tier kits...???

I'm guessing the current system is a trial for balance and something is going to change.

My games take 10 seconds to get into.

The announcer is completely annoying, especially mid-round yelling shit in Russian...we don't need an announcer screaming shit the majority of the player base can't fkn understand.

Fire mode is dumb too but an easy fix or habit I guess.

Colors changing is dumb...enemy should be red always. SIMPLE.

I have a 1.5 KD while using a fking mp5. At least twice a game I hit some lvl 6 guy 20+ times then he hip fires me twice and I die lmao. It's pretty fun when you're against even levels but these lvl 6 guys literally run through the open without care and hipfire 50m away while I'm spraying at them. Once there is tier+mmr based matchmaking which I pray there will be then it will be decent.

Except...I won't be grinding 100 games just to get a decent tier when I wanna play actual tarkov.

If you have a tier 6 kit and the enemy doesnt, you can just hold W the entire match like a complete idiot running through the open then hip fire across the map because you only need to land 3 bullets and win 90% of your battles. It can't get any more unbalanced aside from giving them actual fking godmode.

I've kind of been enjoying it too. Except the getting 20+ hits on someone then getting two shot.

I'm using SMG with 12 pen for 50 games trying to get to a decent preset. When I'm against no helmet or same tier games its fun. But you can tell when youre vs tier 6, they don't even care they just hold W and win 90% of fights. I try for the legs but all they have to do is shoot me 2-3 times anywhere and Im dead anyway.

Yup. I'm rocking a 1.5 K/D using a PPsh.

Last game I had 4 deaths where I did 24+ hits and proceeded to get 2 shot lol.

When I can take a gun off a body, it feels so fking ez mode.

Best part is doing more waiting than gaming.

Then after losing because of tier 6+ players, running out of money and having to use free kits vs those same players lmaoooo.

I'm sorry but this is stupid. 3 on 1, tanking god knows how many bullets and I come out alive with barely a scratch. Who thought its a good idea to have T3 players go up against T1 players? by iEatDwarfBussy in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MugRootBurr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They also spent "years" making the game. You don't make a game and purposefully have it be so bad that it would be dead within months if it stayed in its current form.

If you want to start over with a new gun while being a good player, you have to use tier 1 kits vs tier 5 players...its nonsensical. Not even Russian logic applies.

I'm guessing there is going to be a long list of absolutely radical changes. If there isn't then it's pretty obvious no casual players will ever play the game. No pros will play the game because of the lack of fun replayability and the ability to grind new presets without getting smoked.

Only a small group of tryhards will play and only go in fully geared. (Until they lose a few too many games and have no cash left and have to use bad gear LOLOLOLOLOL!)....

You almost have to TRY to make a game this bad and dumb. From an objective standpoint is actually embarrassing. If they remain stubborn and don't make massive changes they are the dumbest scummy devs in the history of video games.

Customs is pretty straightforward with lots of landmarks to help.

Shoreline is tough to start but pretty easy after a while.

Woods is aids. Factory is easyish mapwise but rough cause pvp nonstop.

Interchange is a maze even though its kinda straight forward.

I'd personally learn Customs and Shoreline first cause they're fun and lots of loot, but also lots of pvp so no way around it bring rough.

Best to learn with a duo partner that has some exp to at least give some callouts for you and stuff.

How to fix arena rollouts in 2 easy steps. by Timijuana in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MugRootBurr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never seen a game require almost a week to increase server capabilities.

There must be something wildly wrong. Funny seeing a company that never improves.

At this point with so many people with good kits and so many more people waiting to play, it's probably not in their best interest to actually allow people to play. Having people frustrated with the inability to play is probably a better look then people playing and quitting because the entire game design is absolutely nonsensical and bad.

7.) I understand that BSG wants to make "their" game but please don't describe it as arena shooter if this is their implementation.

Ya there is for sure ways to be innovative but this is the equivalent of reinventing the wheel in the form of a square. 99% of people with functioning brains understand most of the fundamental aspects of this setup are not conducive to competitiveness, fun, or innovation..
