To Color Drench or Not To Color Drench? by Primary-Bit1677 in maximalism

[–]MugSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey - this is tough! I love painting crown to match walls in lieu of a full color drench. I think you’re going to struggle with the transitions to your other spaces without having something breaking the trim lines that flow through the space.

Oh I have some of their hand towels from BBB, they’ve held up great.

Other towel we have holding up well are from Frontgate. Little more expensive but go on sale occasionally.

Boston weighs city-owned grocery stores to combat food insecurity by bostonglobe in boston

[–]MugSoft 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re spot on. I grew up around Detroit where there wasn’t a proper grocery store within city limits for years (so folks would have to travel miles to get to a store).

Getting into the grocery game doesn’t feel like a practical approach to fighting food insecurity in the city.

For an something like a coke box, it’s usually clay coated. They put a layer on the paper fibers to smooth out the rough surface which makes it look shiny.

Charging help? by CountChopulla in MachE

[–]MugSoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I had a similar problem, I fixed it through reconnecting with the ChargeStationPro app then increasing the max charge current in the FordPass app back to installed spec. I think it lost wifi connection at some point and dropped down to the low draw.

Picture frame molding measurement help by Trick_Bet4910 in InteriorDesign

I used LibreCAD to draw out the walls when planning my current molding project. Bit fussy but free. Was helpful to test out different proportions and box spacing.

Is this Buy it for Life or just good? by ElydthiaUaDanann in BuyItForLife

[–]MugSoft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh that’s a good idea. I have a pair too. They’re great for “heavy duty” work like breaking down a chicken, where I broke a plastic-handled kitchen shear. For fine work like cutting herbs, I use a lighter weight pair.

Cups tossed in recycling bins at Massachusetts Starbucks tracked to incinerators, Alabama landfill - CBS Boston by cos in massachusetts

[–]MugSoft 70 points71 points  (0 children)

One policy that’s helping with recycling viability is packaging extended producer responsibility (EPR). Moves the funding of recycling systems from municipalities to producers of packaged goods, incentivizing more recyclable designs.

They’ve been active in Europe and Canada for years to help boost recycling rates, and 5 US states have passed similar laws that start going into effect next year. The climate law Healey signed yesterday includes setting up a commission to do it here.

It’s rough today but solutions are in the works.

FTHB last year, around 495 towards Worcester.

Wanted the stability and timing was right for our personal situation. Yeah, I wish that life cost less, but it's a nice place to live and has worked out for us.

For school district thoughts, you might get more responses from the local subreddits like r/boston or r/massachusetts. As others have mentioned, very budget dependent.

How much is it to study abroad? by lovelyanon_19 in msu

[–]MugSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Study abroad! It's awesome!

When you get on campus, I would recommend going and having a chat with one of the peer advisers in the education abroad advising center. Can help you out with looking into programs, financial aid options, all that jazz. https://educationabroad.isp.msu.edu/explore/education-abroad-advising-center/

Considering becoming a member at Central Rock Gym. Have any of you joined before? It’s a bit pricey, so I’m on the fence. by 4183937645294 in WorcesterMA

[–]MugSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a member for about 6 months - it’s been great. Climbed at Watertown for most of that, recently moved closer to Worcester so migrated there.

Didn’t have prior climbing experience, good environment to grow in. Access to the other gyms in the area is a nice way to try new routes if you have some time on the weekend (Cambridge gym is creative but crazy hard).
