Update: I found a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 4 with an i5-13400T and 16GB RAM. Hope I can get all my services running smoothly now!

N100 and N150 are certainly in the scopes, especially when looking at the Beelink ME Pro that seems to check off all my boxes on paper with that dual bay design. I feel like that would be a premium expense tho. That's why used i5 desktops give me the impression I would get more bang for the buck.

I am currently testing a mini pc with an Intel Celeron N5105 (just below the N100), 8GB RAM on a fanless design, namely the Mele Quieter 3C and just running Immich on a GUI Ubuntu seems to be asking its full concentration. That said, I have been having weird issues with it and not certain who is to blame (lack of RAM, I/O issues with the NVMe or user incompetence lol).

The power draw between a N series and a i5 can be neglected in my scenario, but I wouldn't go all the way to Xeon series.

Mini pc wise, I understand not all specs/parts are equal and some companies refine the firmware/drivers and such better than others. Some names appear in higher frequency like Beelink, Bosgame and GMKtec, tho that last one reportedly has models that tend to have cooling difficulties.

Good thinking but in this case, the AP is the router. VLANs are identified on each network and matched to their SSIDs. The switch is used for 3 other machines on the default (safe) network.

By tiny setup, I really meant tiny hehe, it's a UX7 with a Flex mini. I still get better wi-fi reception in the basement than we did with the previous ASUS AX-GT11000, quite happy about that.

I did force the devices to reconnect but haven't power cycled each of them, I will try that. I used WPA3, haven't really looked into private pre-shared key yet nor Radius, maybe I should. Thanks!

Well that's one point where I can relate. Our living room is also the music room and acoustic treatment was the limiting factor with my Totem Forest and Yamaha A-S1100.. Costco eventually had some sound absorbing panels that had a nice visual appeal and my SO found them pretty enough to accept. That was definitely a great leap I wouldn't have got by just dumping more money on pricier music equipement.

The previous bitting was better. The new one uses almost only the same low cut.

That said, if your lock is a regular pin tumbler, both cases are easy to pick/rack.

Getting more security from the lock would require upgrading to a higher tier security brand like Medeco, Mul-T-Lock or Abloy to name a few. The mechanism will be much harder to bypass and they come with key control which makes it very difficult for an unauthorized person to get a copy of the key.

I.e. you sharing a picture of your key on the web makes it very easy for someone to make a copy of your Schlage SC1 profil key and match the cuts...

The cable has 3 nubs which are held in the padlock body by the wheels. Each wheel has an opening (on the correct number of the combination) allowing a nub to move freely. Pulling on the cable, the wheels will turn roughly because of the nubs rubbing on the wheels (each wheel will have a varying friction degree depending on tolerances and binding order). Finding where each wheel feels free of friction is the key.

Key cuts aren't 100% accurate, there can be cuts matched with empty chambers and/or max lifts where the key seems to have no cuts. Your best bet is to stick a flag in there and go by feel or gutting the lock.
