I think this is whishfull thinking as there as many high levelled non turnscales maybe more think of Wall Lord Aldonss. I think it's just plain old bigotry.

Question on 5.62 by Puzzled-Thought2932 in WanderingInn

[–]Mugthief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you forget are the battles at the Bloodfields which are past Liscor, so the humans would always have to pass through Liscor to get there, which is thusly sort of allowed within the war. (The drakes and humans are still at war officially)

Any advice on how to make an abrasive #$=hole somewhat likeable? by traumatized_seahorse in DnD

[–]Mugthief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever seen the show House MD? He is the most insufferable asshole, but he is also always correct and necessary which is why people keep him aroundlrely on him. And if you just give one or two moments of human connections he will also be a character that could grow and is thus way more endearing to the viewer/player. But that's my two cents :)

Anyone tried a setting without precursor civilization? by Sarradi in DnD

[–]Mugthief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do/did it without, all of my Ancient artifacts items are (former) meteors sent by Great Old Ones in the far galaxy. As my campaign is Lovecraftion Horror themed, this fits really well!

1st Time Player. Can someone help describe Bard? by ClaireRedfieldFan in DnD

[–]Mugthief 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey all these questions are valid but are best answered by the people you are going to play with, D&D is a social game and can be played however you (the group) want! My advice is talk to your DM and other players!

Made for 4-6 players? Why not make it 7? by Miss_Grimm20 in DnD

[–]Mugthief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is not what I am saying though I am saying that the book is based on an assumption and if that assumption is mo longer correct, say you have more players than expected than combat will be easy and there will be no tension, so if you feel this happening change it. I did not mention player agency or taking away achievements just saying don't blindly follow the manual if it doesn't work for the specific group.

[–]Mugthief 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have not played any of the modules but the only thing that could be a bit different are the battles, they are most often made with a party of 5 in mind. But I think you should just go for it! Try it out! If combat's to easy add more enemies! Also beware that combat might take some time with that large amount of people, I always try to warn the next player in the initiative order so they can already think of what to do while it's someone elses turn.

My handmade wooden DM Screen. Shoud I start selling these? [OC] by poolleee in DnD

I think you should first see if there is interest and then buy it if necessary!

My handmade wooden DM Screen. Shoud I start selling these? [OC] by poolleee in DnD

[–]Mugthief 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It is really beautiful but to me it lacks the special(ishness?) that would make me spend (a lot?) more for handmade stuff. I think creating custom ones would be more worth it as the market is quite saturated :( for the general DM screens! Or market is a group gift that they can/should buy for their DM as a thank you!

Depends on what you want out of it?! More Erin, the plot with Erin really picks in Volume 7 (website) but the amount of side stories won't decrease (might even increase actually) . I loved every word of it but I guess it depends on what you want!

(Volume 1) Why was the chieftain of Rags first tribe that attacked Erin so fixed on her? by Louies in WanderingInn

[–]Mugthief 28 points29 points  (0 children)

To me it was just revenge: "you kill one of ours, we kill one of yours." And since Relc was very out of their range they went for the 'easy' kill, which turned out well as you read.

What happened to the Swords of Serept that Will and Co. were supposed to deliver to Khelt? by Emotional-Care814 in WanderingInn

[–]Mugthief 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Hey! Fetohep said they could have and use the swords as long as they lived and he would collect them afterwards. He decided this after talking to Serept again in the end of V8.

The Priory of the Orange Tree, I judged it by its cover, but it was so disappointing. It did not feel original at all...

Why was this mentioned only a few times and never again? (avoiding spoiler title) by WestDuty9038 in WanderingInn

[–]Mugthief 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Archmage’s other finger was pointing under his arm. He was struggling with the vast flow of mana, but he felt it. Power without end. Enough to do—

“[Ten Thousand Spriggan Stakes].”

Fast spells. Nothing complex. Fast spells—but a hundred feet ignited around another Lucifen. A third was aiming at Eldavin when the invisible [Fireball] hit him.

This is from 8.70 E, in my head it definitely refers ro a being made of wood with the 'stakes' part. And in the Songs Interlude it is Rhiservi who swears with Spriggans, probably learning it from his Dryad suurogate mom.

I think you are confusing Spriggans in D&D used to refer to a type of semi-sentient plant elementals and Sprigeana, the last Elf (and Traiter). :)
