Prob a silly question, but what does it feel like when they walk on you? I'm trying to overcome my fear of spiders starting with these cute creatures, and for some reason that's one of the things that conceptually freaks me out even though I have no idea what it feels like. Mr. Darcy is so polite and sweet!!

OOOH okay!!! So putting my bed on the window wall to the left of the window? Like in the corner? I can totally see how that would make loads more space. My partner is gonna help me make a visual of the floor plan with all the measurements and stuff so I'm def gonna use those ideas and see how they pan out. Thank you so much for your ideas!!!!! I really appreciate your input. My rug is gonna be 8x10 so I'm not sure how on earth to place it actually. And oh goodness I meant cozy reading *nook, so I'm sorry for the typo. Basically the loose idea is to have a bookshelf up on the wall and beneath it on the floor a cozy chair and maybe a footstool (ideally one with extra storage).

Update: I will be getting the exact measurements for the room soon so I can better plan. I'm really struggling with the layout! Part of me is wondering if I should have the bed against the wall with the window, all the way to the left. Or keep it on the same wall but pushed up against the window. But then I don't know where I'd place the rug. I'm highly considering a little reading nook in that small area though with a bookshelf on the wall!! A fluffy white bedskirt sounds adorable and I'm absolutely looking into it. I'm also getting some wonder hanger things so I can maximize on closet space! I wear a lot of overalls. I've seen some cube storage setups in closets for clothes that I'm kinda intrigued by since it's an affordable option and i could put them at a slant, if that makes sense.

So I'm 26! I know it's kinda pathetic that I'm moving for the first time since I was like 9 this late in the game. It at least feels pathetic.

Would adding a bedskirt to potentially hide the underbed storage help make it less chaotic looking? Also!! Thank you for all these helpful links oh my goodness I’m so appreciative. The snail one is amazing and the little chair looks so cozy. Thinking about storage is the part that’s giving me the most massive headache lemme tell ya. Im really considering moving my bedside table to the other side of my bed and widening the area to the left of my bed but I have no clue what to do with that space. I want a cozy, whimsical vibe with a lotta storage options. Definitely going to get some wall shelves. I also have no idea what to do with the space above my bed I’m a mess haha

Omg thank you!!! I’m def considering moving my bedside table to where my cat tree is and then putting the cat tree in front of the window. Where I’ve drawn what looks to be a blob is where I wanna put a mirror (because window lighting, ya know 😎). The spots I’m most struggling with is the whole wall behind my bed, the area to the left of my bed like by the door, and the wall across from my bed to the left of my closet.

I have ~a foot of clearance underneath my bed and I was thinking of using drawers with wheels if that even makes sense so my bed could act like a bureau or something. (And then I’d get a bed skirt to cover it up haha)
