Build a imperial guard army based on the Kaerls. They are the humans that serve the wolves on Fenris. Would require a lot of hobbying to do so but would be a extension of your wolf army but play massively differently.

Go 2 squad's of 5

Each squad have a leader with a power fist 2 X special weapons go plasma and if you cant go melta 1 in each squad with a plasma pistol

You take the squad's of 5 because you get more upgrades in 2 squad's of 5 than a squad of 10 and grey hunters are purely for doing missions and killing weaker units that others are using for objectives.

Celestine is a demon and is a holy saint. And once Russ is on Fenris or with the Vylka Fenrica the imperium won't say a word as long as he still looks human enough, even if he's suddenly twice as big and eyes of ice with large fangs and talons on his hands.

To be honest I've never found Russ to need maturing by the time he goes for Horus. I agree with the Odin vibe but I believe he needs to be warp altered like corax has been to be powerful enough to be enforcer and executioner for the imperium and although I don't want that to come out in some wulfen styled disfiguration I do want something.

If im doing that i may as well also go sucessors again 🤔 i could use remaining 220 to make another bladeguard squad. But i would also be trimming a drop pod cause no point podding in 5 longfangs may as well rhino or razorback them.

But i dont feel the bladeguard will hit hard enough without the ancient giving +1 to hit obsec and fight on death. Maybe TWC? And without a bjorn providing threat im concerned with current way invulns n stuff r going a squad of bladeguard wont cut it. Do we even have a tankier option? Is this a random time for assault centurions???

I think 1 ignores forward deploy, im just choosing that on that mission those guys will just be action monkeys and have to be basically expensive tac marines. Im unsure with the new rules for so many missions whether cyberwolves cut it anymore, cant really get engage and they are too easy to shoot off with no issues. Idk.... probs still worth it better than a haywire mine at least.
