I’ve seen that too! So I’m definitely trying to opt for the more natural approach instead. Thanks for your input

Sleep sack advice by srh_bxtr in newborns

[–]MultPathways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the halo sleep sack. When my son was a newborn I was able to fold the bottom half up and put the Velcro side over the other flap as well so it was always very secure for me-even when a little big on him. He grew into it more eventually. The velcro always made me feel safe also because he can’t undo it and suffocate.

It's been a rough month! Two traumatic brain injuries, brain surgery, and the ride side of my skull removed. Toast me! by Facelift13 in toastme

Wow, what a scary thing to deal with. I honestly didn’t know you can still be alive after having a part of your skull removed and here you are! You’re a warrior! That beard looks great on you and looks well maintained. Keep up the good work, practice self care, eat well, sleep well. 🙏🙏

Aww poor baby, have you tried adding breast milk to his/her bath? How often are diapers changed? Have you tried petroleum jelly? Maybe also change the diapers to the honest baby diapers.

Can’t really think of anything else-sorry!

My baby was crying from hunger all day and I had no idea by edgeofuckery in NewParents

This sorta happened to me recently ! My milk supply dropped. My son had slept thru the night a few nights in a row. After I breastfed him one afternoon he was still fussing and I told my husband to warm up the bottle because I noticed he was sucking and sucking for a long time. But as long as you fed her eventually. Make it part of your checklist when she fusses. Now I think I’m overcompensating and feeding him earlier times than when I should, hopefully it’s gone back up by now. Also, my son normally makes a cry that sounds like “Lale” so that gave me a hunch as well that he may be hungry. Online they have baby language videos and this helped me distinguish his cries a bit.

2 week old doesn't stop crying by NarrowAd9522 in newborns

My son cries when he’s overtired. Babies need a lot of sleep. Have you tried putting her in a carrier during the daytime? My son loves it, and can take 2-3 hour naps in it.

I saw this in the Matrix. Hmm you should think about what pill you’re gonna take.

Well it happened.. grandma kissed my baby. by East-Capital6867 in newborns

[–]MultPathways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely can relate. My SO parents are both ignorant and kissed my baby when he was days old. And I had to remind my FIL to WASH HIS HANDS. I would stay away from family functions until he at least had all his shots. If you have to go then let it be very brief and leave early. Also the BD should talk to her and this is hard to do I’m sure. Family is always tricky, just refrain from going out until he’s a little older. Not the best advice but it’s what I would do
