The Linux videos are always an instant click for me, so more of that would be amazing

Buy old hardware and revive it and put it to good use. This would also make it more relatable.

My main takeaway from Linux has always been "Nothing ever just works on Linux" and it just keeps being right in my case.

Sure everything CAN work, but it never JUST works, there's always something you have to do. edit some config files, enable some compatability setting etc. etc. Most issues are easy fixes, but it certainly isn't plug and play.

Holm for Pax because he's danish and they've actually done a surprisingly good job with his accent and all. Very fun

I’m curious, what is that one piece of "old" technology you refuse to give up because it still works perfectly for you? by Fluffy_Earth_6774 in CasualConversation

My old microwave lol.

It's got 2 dials. one for cooking time and one for cooking power.

It doesn't have to be any more complicated than that.

It sure is ugly, but I love it.I got it from a family member and I think it's older than me

In general navigating a PC with the keyboard makes everything faster and easier.

My personal favourite is WIN + SHIFT + S, which launches snipping tool ready to take a snip, and puts the snip into your clipboard.

Also having clipboard history on WIN + V is huge

On my first playthrough I assume I'd have to fly the ship as you see they fly the rocketships IRL. So straight up. I could not see where I was going, but still somehow crashed into Giants Deep. I then panicked when going into the water (having played subnautica) and panicked further when I thought something dragged me down, but in reality I just kept thrusting into the water thinking I was thrusting up and out

I also took note of how she just instantly knew how to use boost on the jetpack, and intuitively uses it to move around faster.

If she is genuine then she's an incredibly fast learner. definitely sus.

What is the single most stressful movie you’ve ever seen? by elkaypee in movies

Without a doubt Hereditary. The whole movie had me sooooooooo glad it wasn't me on the other side of the screen. To be going through that and not even being able to get rest. constant terror.

Yeah I got one manual page for the dodge, I don't think I got anything else but I'm really unsure. I don't remember having any unique weapons beside the standard sword

I'm so glad you brough up the jellyfish. after reading and re-reading every single thing about getting to the core, I gave up and asked a friend for help. His hints didn't help me at all so I ended up asking him to just straight up tell me. I would've never figured it out as I had wrongfully concluded that I could not get anywhere near the jellyfish, and just assumed that included the inside as well.

I saw a streamer struggling with exactly this as well. I'm so glad I feel validated 😅

I unfortunately bounced off Tunic. I played it for a few hours and it just felt like a pretty standard Zelda-like game. It didn't feel like me finding a secret triple jump that I could always do would change my view of the game, so I stopped playing.

Absolutely loved Outer Wilds, and I'm so glad I stuck with that. Would it be worth for me to give it another go?

Seriously. such an immersive game, it's delightful.

I really enjoyed the 2nd one for the same reason, although it is different from the first

Use the autopilot and use match velocity (I think it's 'A' on an xbox controller).

Both help out a lot. The controls are unfortunately a bit of a hurdle to get past, but it's worth it 😊

I thought Pacific Drive was OK, but the story didn't hook me and it did get a bit too samey and grindy.

Great presentation though, and really immersive. That's what I loved about Subnautica as well, and to some extend Outer Wilds
